EPIC GAME but there are SO many holes in this game - my game crashed when i had just killed the destroyer and it reverted to a save that CAN'T exist - halfway through the last cut-scene - SPOILERS - to find steele you go to the vault - you enter the quest gets ticked - the cut-scene starts - an when it ends it completes with her demise from the destroyer - it reverted to halfway through this so i can't hand in the quest as the destroyer wont spawn :S ARRRRRGHHHH

I know I'm going to get this for Christmas, and this game is like a dream come true for me, and I was gonna have 3 friends over the day after, and it would be the best day of my life. Borderlands is.... AWESOME. but it lacks online vs. mode. I think if they added call of duty style of maps where you can play vs. others online in a deathmatch style of play using the guns collected from single player this will have me playing for ever... and could possibly grasp me more than MW2.. it will really put to use the gun loot system and having to find the best weapon to have for playign against others online. they've refreced WoW lots already.... then just add the BG system! :]

Playthrough two is supposed to be like that. The new names reflect the changes in the mob's level; the change in level is there so that you can keep leveling, find new guns, play a harder playthrough, and hit the level 50 cap.

Great game, since purchasing it last week I've struggled to stop playing at midnight on work nights. I have finished it and playing it through now a second time along with helping friends. Forwarding the ports wasn't a big deal for me, I already do that for other games. I would suggest if you're thinking of getting it, go and buy it now.

I would have to say this game deserves GotY, it's a load of fun and co-op play is where things are headed.

Well the guns differ on many levels. I think there are like 20 base stats. But even if you find a gun with a 1 point difference it still would be considered a different gun. And from what I've hear people say that they actually are all vastly different.

you can switch, but they each have their own level, like if you play as brick to lvl 5 and switch to roland, roland will be lvl 1 still.

obviously there are "classes" of weapons. Shotguns, assault rifles, revolvers etc.. Each weapon in a certain class shares the same ammo of the next weapon in the same class...

No, they use a generic ammo for all guns. All the different pistol guns use "Pistol ammo" Rifle use "rifle" ammo so on and so forth.. At least I think thats how it works. Could be wrong.
