its very simple. Get a 3 in by 6 inch piece of an old shirt. Fold, crush, and otherwise manuever it into a very tight ball, about 1 inch in diameter. Hold it together and shove a needle and thread through it. continue to sew the ball together, pushing the needle in from many different angles. use a good 3-4 feet of thread, doubled up, and a large needle. he needle will b eDifficult to push through. personally i put the needle against a desk and puch the ball down onto it. then soak it

i wouldnt suggest it. like lighter fluid, axe will burn for a long enough time, but will most likely rub off on your hand as well as the ball, this will catch your hand on fire as well and will hurt very much

The ball acts like a 3 dimensional wick. So, the soaked bal burns the oil on the outside, and sucks the liquid from the middle to the surface. when the ball runs dry, it goes out. Alternatevely, you can make a fast closed Fist and suffocate it very quickly, without burning yourself

For all the Nay sayers... Yes, its fire. If you you hold onto it long enough it will burn you. Duh... lol

But you can hold it for a few seconds and switch hands. I found the cold water coating the hands helped and also, make sure you have lots of lighter fluid.

It burns as a gas, not a liquid, so the fumes coming off the ball is what burns, thus, keeping the actual cloth from burning. as soon as the cloth starts to burn its gonna hurt.

I found that it works for some, and other not so much.

I think you were mislead by my comment..Proportions...when one trait is increased, so is another..lets say that top flame is like umm...200 degrees and it is like 90 degrees(made up numbers)where your hand makes contact...if you increase the size of the paper, the top flame is now 300...this means that it would be like 150 where your hand touches the ball...c what im saying?it gets hotter as it gets bigger...

If you dont want to get burned, then here's a tip. Use the lighter and hold down the ignition (the one where you hold it down so the fire stays) and hold it and dab it onto your hand... this will protect ur hands because the fire is burning off of the fumes...oh yeah dont sniff it, it'll kill you

You can get charcoal lighter fluid from any grocery store. It can burn you.. but as long as you switch hands before it gets hot.. it doesnt burn like you would think. It is fire and the possibility to catch something else on fire is always there.. but I have found that even after dropping it on the carpet and it landing in my lap.. it tends to be fairly safe.

You have to make sure to really soak the cotton. You want the fluid to burn not the shirt.. The fluid burns as a gas and the heat rises.. if the shirt starts to burn, then thats why it hurts so bad..

i've done it... it's crazy. theres some people who say theres no pain if you hold it in your hand but there the ones moving it all over the place.theres a little pain even if you have real rough hands... but ya, if you put your hands in water or hold onto a piece of ice for a wile u should be fine. or rub vaseline on your hands first before lighting up. anyway... sick vid and nice tossing, i couldnt do that, i tried and i keep thinking that the flame leads so i grab at the flame.

I only suggestion is to keep the ball moving.. if its made correctly it shouldn't burn your hands as long as you dont hold it in the same spot. It still is fire.. so it is going to get hot.

Try dousing your hands in water prior to handling it. it lets you hold onto it for a bit longer than normal.. but that makes the flame smaller.

My only other suggestions is, dont have girly hands :)
