I had to do MPG training on one of these today for my company. Scored the highest of anyone today, 7.42MPG. Pretty neat simulator, I can really see how it could be helpful for training for adverse conditions and emergency situations.

Road wars, is the best way to get your CDL permit . it's a free web site, then find a farmer and pay him a grand to learn your Pre and Post trip inspection, then take your test with it. Backing is really tricky so work on your 45 and straight line backing. I did it and got my Class A CDL in two weeks. A $1,000 bucks is a lot less then $6,500 for some stupid truck driving school. It's not as hard as you think.

My Dads work (truck driver training) had one of these, i got to play on it actually for a couple hours, they gave me a 53 foot trailer and a stretched frame pete and they were throwing all different weather and roads at me, i eventually rolled it on a downward slope with a big S turn on ice, freezing rain, so much fun, not to mention i was 12 at the time driving on Manual,

@tomebaden umm the point is 1. through this u can put specific scenerios and u hav many different situations that probly ouldnt happen if u were driving a truck one time...2. hwere are u gonna get a truck u can drive for this long? 3. u dont pay for diesel. 4. if u have an accident nothing will happen, but if u have an accident while driving a truck yur fucked. 4. there are different weatehr scenerios to make u practice and experience them, winter, sumemr spring etc.. im 14 and this is obvious.

If you haven't driven in a Snow Storm or havent had experience in the snow storm I would reccomend that you do this in this simulator before you are hired to drive in the winter storm, even though you have a Class A CDL, because winter drive is even more dangerouse than summer drive.
