so I heard from interviews and stuff that on there debut record, Misha programmed all the drums. How have they handled it for weightless? The Drums don't sound like acoustic drums, there to tight and stuff. So have they programmed them themself, or has Navene played them on that e-kit and they used superior drummer or something?
@HeavyDude3000 He played his ekit(the one you are looking at in this video is mine) into s2.0 and validated his parts with the real kit so that it would be an exact duplicate of his real kit. All those dudes are machines, but regardless its still extremely impressive how quickly they wrote and recorded that record. I believe Navene offers session drumming now for people who might be interested. Message me privately if you are interested and I'll point you his way.
@WorldAmongstRuin Thanks man for such an detailed answer! I always wounder how they did it. Also thanks for the information on his session druming, but I'm a drummer myself and I got a little homestudio where I record stuff. My problem is more about mixing song and drums in particular, that's way i was curious about the drum sound...but your right, all of these three guys are virtuosos on there instrument. Love them :)
which drum set is this? from the little i can see snare and toms are the regular size and despite their "real" look they don't produce a lot of physical sound coming from the strokes.
@dirtjump132 No, I'm a recording/mastering engineer and work on all his records. I also use to tour with Animals and did all their light programming and maintained the computers that ran all the backing tracks and stuff for their set, as well as tour managed. I'm not a drummer....
