Thanks so much for this video, ive been playing for years and I dont know that I could of figured this one out ,without this outstanding video .We as musicians depend on help from others like yourself to share your god given talent.THANKS AGAIN.
Thanks very much for this very helpful and excellent tutorial on the special chords that John Mayer used on "Daughters". I love playing this song now, and the nuances you exposed just made me a little bit better guitar player!
great tutorial! Chords and chord progressions are very clear and easy to understand. This has helped me tremendously! Now if only i can get that damn rhythmic change down... It boggles my mind every time i see you play it, even though i know its simple... guess i gotta keep trying til i crack it.
if you could have all the chord shapes and the chronological order of them in written form in the description or tag it in the vid or something, that would benefit a lot of us, by having to stop and rewind the video. but it was a good video. thanks.
Uh, you not exactly clear all the time. It would be easier to follow if you referenced the actual fret number. I really wish I could follow everything you're saying.
Learned this song in less than a day thanks to this tutorial. You know EXACTLY how to explain a song from head to toes, you should cover other song tutorials aswell this one was perfect...props man
I own the tabs and chords for this song and I was able to figure out the verse and chorus, but I could not for the life of me figure out the bridge! Thank you soooo much for what you do and helping me figure out this truly beautiful song!
thanks so much for your kind post and taking your time to check this out......greatly appreciated! I agree 1000% - just a beautiful tune.....keep pickin!!
Nothing against the way you play it, but after i leaned how you play it. i paid attention to my chords and you can do this same chord progression with the normal structure of chords around the 1st 2ed and 3rd frets. with the same full sound. thanks for posting this vid. i did help me w/ other various ways that i can structure a chord and may be easier to play any other random song.
Helped out allot. I'm learning all off of you tube from people like you and I'll probably be doing a cover of this song too to add on to my other -2- covers from Mr Mayer. The way he phrases this song is kinda difficult to pick up but its fun playing and singing along to this song. Thnx ... >>Dre<<
thanks for watching the video and your kind post is greatly appreciated! JM is IMO one of the very best of our time - i hope the video helps and i wish you all the best with your music!
hello sir. I really liked your lessons. maybe you'll consider to do "split screen sadness" tutorial. I can't find any decent tutorial here in the internet. I do hope you'd make one. I find your teachings very easy to understand. :D
Great tutorial easy enough to follow and a lovely song to play on acoustic. Would you consider doing something like Stop This Train or Heart of Life? I can never get the picking pattern right and you seem good at explaining it! :)
thanks sir for this vid! I hope you make more john mayer songs lesson. It's very easy to understand. maybe if you will add a graphic representation of the tabs, it would be even better. but hey, this vids ok. thanks again! :D

Haha!! You almost right - I taught JM this tune!! Isn't he amazing - I think he's off the charts as an artist. Thanks for your kind words - keep pickin!

Really awsome tutorial! Just one little thing is wrong... that 3 chords riff connecting the 1st verse to the second, the first 2 chords are right but the 3rd chord (wich you slide the 2nd 2 frets up) is not this one, it's just come back to the first one, that's what john does. Congratulations!
Great Lesson, Im actually a good buddy of Johns. We went to Berklee School of Music together back in 95 and its nice to see a lesson very close to the way he plays it. You did him proud. Great Job and keep it up
