@ProjectDecade There's your flaw, bro. You should have set Gambits up in a way that you had to do more as a player. For example, I only used Gambits for buffs on my party. Everything else was done by me going into the menu and selecting it myself. I did attacking, healing, enemy debuffing and magick attacks all myself via the menu. Also, I did that shit for EVERY character in my party.

Gambit system doing everything was only ideal for epic grinding or people who just wanted to play that way.

@ProjectDecade FFXIII was great graphically and had a stylish battle system. However, it lacked too many JRPG staples such as towns, conversable NPCs, side-quests, mini-games, exploration, etc. It was a good game, but it was a massive step back from FFXII in every area apart from graphics, IMO.

I am a lover of both RPG's and Action games and Sanbox games....I'm just starting the FF series...I'm playing FF1 and when I finish It FF2 and when I finish it FF3 (english version on nintendo emulator) and when I finish this IV V VI VII For the PS1...and when I'm done, I will be about 80 years older, well into my 96th year...I'll also be bold and will have a huge sword collection (because of the game) and I'll chop up my food with them while playing...Final Fantasy is awesome!

I think they are trying to appeal to both preferences. This game is fail. The story is very shallow and boring. (and predictable). It's just another copy and paste game. (Everything is liner, their is nothing to explore or do other than farm and find more out about a story that you couldn't care less about).

FF13 has my favourite gameplay out of all the games. No level grinding, and no ridiculously huge worlds to explore. Just nice linear, fast paced gameplay that never gets old. Not to mention a great story and amazing graphics. This game has the best version of the active time battle system.

I'm not saying that the others were bad. FF6 is still my favourite, it's just that this a few of those RPGs where I never got bored battling monsters. :P

I HATED being bogged down by constant grinding with a boring battle system where you would just spam spells, really easy.
