My all time fav. game series. I remember when i first played silent hill on my "Brand New PS1" Lol And it was the best experience through my life. i was at school. now i am 24 And i still wish i had never played those series so i would be able to do it over again and again. ! @deadlyvenom356 Well I've been playing Silent Hill since the very first PS1 game and honestly I don't know. I don't think they ever quite explain it in the video games. All I know is Silent Hill can turn into a completely alternate deminsion with beasts and zombies and ghosts, the Pyramid Head being one of them. I'm pretty sure they were all human at some point.

The latest Silent Hill apparently will feature music from Korn... yes, that Korn. You have to understand that the music of Silent Hill is what made the game. Listen to the songs of Silent Hill 2 soundtrack. The music makes the game. It envelopes the atmosphere and feel of the game. Without the original composer,it's just a lost franchise resorting to tired horror cliches

The main charecter on Silent hill 2 murders his wife and he is sent to Silent Hill believing his wife was still alive (he forgot about murdering her at first). There's a demon there, he's on the video with the triangular/pyramid head, his name is pyramid head and he is James Sunderlands (Silent Hill 2 main charecter) Personal demon, but he was brought to the movie because he was famous

I know my explanation isn't all good but people don't simply travel to silent hill they are drawn in by a mysterious force due to their actions, past, and guilt. The monsters are formed from fears and guilt, like you mentioned. These monsters can't appear to those that don't suffer similar guilt and possess such nightmares like the protagonist of Silent Hill do

It's just that I haven't played SH2 yet and supposedly it's the best story of the series, and the second best, Shattered Memories, I spoiled by reading too much. So I just don't want to ruin this one, which is probably the best story in video game history.

Btw, good observation. Now some "discrepancies" I noticed in Homecoming make more sense, such as the cop in Homecoming being able to see the nightmare, whereas the cop in SH1 couldn't.

@M4RVELKNiGHT Oh well, I apologize too for spoiling the game. Silent Hill 2 is a very good game to the series. I highly recommend it, there's alot more to the story then what I said. I never tried Shattered Memories, but I really want to, being a Silent Hill fan. I also plan on getting Downpour the 8th installment of Silent Hill. One of the unique things about Silent Hill 2 is that there is no true ending and it depends on the player.

I had just moved onto the third floor. Apartment 302. When I went to take them on the tour the next day one of them got so creeped out that she went back up without her shoes. An air raid siren is a good reason to freak out, an apartment number isn't. Even if you're fifteen and sleep deprived hehe
