That's pretty similar to my setup, I've got the same video card and amount of RAM. My processor is slightly better and the disk speed is not important :p

Try settings mixed with medium and high, or all medium if you want AA enabled. Like me.

But, you also have to keep in mind that he is frapsing, and you lose a lot of fps when recording in-game.

If you don't know what I am talking about, please stay away. Because 25 fps on a movie on youtube and 25 fps in-game is a totally different thing.

I work with video professionally for a living and I can tell you that 25fps on YouTube will look the same as 25fps in a game. There is technically absolutely no difference whatsoever. 25 frames per second is 25 frames per second. It is impossible to determine a video's original frame rate after it has been bottlenecked down to a lower rate. The poster of this video should have included a frame rate counter so you can see yourself.

Ok, after a second watch, I would say that he got around 30-35 fps in-game. My mistake. You can clearly see lags when he turns around, that's what it is for me as well in games when I got lags. And my fps-counter would show me around 30-40 fps during that time.

And one thing more, it's not youtube's fault the video would show lower fps, cause I've seen smoother videos on here showing Crysis.

It's possible to achieve 60fps and higher in between the occasional lag, because lag occurs either when system memory is full or when the CPU isn't fast enough to load content at the required speed. Lag is not a result of a poor frame rate.

Of course, I'm assuming by 'lag' you mean that jerking that occurs often. The definition of lag is thrown around quite a bit.

9800GX2 = 60 fps

But in game (playing) HD3870X2 have a lot of stutering and not playable with Very High settings @ 1680x1050

logic: the 9800gx2 has 2 8800GTS 512 Mb cores. Now a single 8800GTS can overclock to fuck rape the GTX hands down and arse up (so to speak). Imagine the overclocking potential and tri-SLI capabilities of this GPU (that australian guy has done this on youtube its like the first result for "9800gx2").
