  • yes i love this song, we be playing this in our band right now.

  • Those trumpets have amazing range

  • can anyone give me the name of the artist or composer for this piece?

  • @latter678 The original version is done by a group called Royal Crown Revue.

  • wow this is amazing i go to nchs & im a freshie i play the flute & i really wanted to go to a&m then i heard tcu band & now im goin to tcu when i graduate!!

  • This is the opener to my marching band this year.

  • Who are the people singing from :57-1:00 ? o_O

  • @betterthaneddie That was the Marching Band Director singing into the mic

  • Even after 20 years of playing, I still giggle like a little kid when I hear a solo like that! Three things, you'd better still be playing, what kind of horn, and what size mouthpiece you use? I love that casual walk away. Typical trumpet man, blow everyone away, then walk away like nothing happened! LOL

  • After 15 years of playing, I still LOVE hearing a solo like that! Great chops man, what size you use, and you'd better tell me you're still playing!!!

  • very nice job ,especially the solist, great job from one lead trumpet to the next lol

  • NICE solo there. We play that and our soloist sounds NOTHING like that

  • What is your name? You are amazing!!! I am going to be a junior next year for Mansfield High and have a good chance at playing it! Again.. Awesome!! And BTW, you are my role-model for the solo because I play it just like that now.

  • Andrew Fowler

  • You are awesome Andrew.. and my hero. :P

  • That was pretty damn impressive Andrew...it's rare seeing someone do that, that good.

Complete subject change, but you own a Monette LT right?

  • GO SOLOS! WAY TO BLOW!!!

  • WOW!! Awesome Soloist(s)! What was that highest note there?

  • Most of them are high G's but there was one A above high C

  • Thats pretty darn good. Its my second year playing a Trumpet... Highest I've hit so far was a F above the High C.

    :P Pretty close

  • my school is playing this for our marching competition! x3 wow, awesome trumpet soloist.

  • My God. I'm a sophomore, and the soloist for this song in our marching band show, but ...college? COME ON! Not even fair. I can only hit the high F. Extraordinary performance by TCU.

  • This is the show my band is doing this year. yall did pretty good. i hate the huegnot or whatever version it was crappy.

  • we played this my rookie year

but the trumpet solos weren't as good as they are here... hehe

  • Ofcourse TCU's version is better than Huguenot's! TCU is a college!! Now try that against Norfolk State.

  • you are totally right, I hated the Huguenot versions. Thank god im not the only one.

  • the trumpet players r on steroids...crazy sheer excitement&energy in that section with tasteful 8va sections/solos. I wish my old Univ. pep band conductor would watch this and learn something from it rather than be the boring old oboe player he was not letting anyone of us take any liberties.

  • WE PLAYED THAT 2

  • good

  • man..i would love to b in this band!

  • My band(Merryville Panthers) is doing this song right now, and its turning out pretty good.

  • our band is playing this song for contest and marching to it

  • My band is doing this song right now. I love the trumpet

solo, it is kind of the heart of the song.

  • ha!!

  • This just happens to be one of my favorite songs to date. TCU put it to justice.

  • Man who is that trumpet player. Guys has some chops! sounds great. The only thing that could make it better is some shakes!

  • Me.... Thanks! We try to make it as tastee as possible

  • Haha tastee...nice! I tell you man, the Green Brigade could use some of that this year. Here at North Texas, we've got a lot of great players... none of whom choose to do marching band.. I'm about as good a lead player as we have, and I was second trumpet in the 7 o'clock last semester! Ouch! Any advise on surviving marching band lead trumpet?

  • I use marching band as an outlet for enhancing range, I'm always trying something up an octave in rehearsals. The stuff that goes well %90 of the time ends up in performances. I just try to make marching band work for me instead of the other way around! As long as it's fun for ya keep it up.

  • That's how I am too.. hehe :)

    Jordan

  • i love that song we did my 10th grade year
