  • Very rare to see a Blue devil. I've seen one (2455)

  • he's doing about 40-45 mph, i was a clerk and i have watched many go by.....when a train went past an outlying depot the clerk on duty had to stop work and "look the train over" and report or "os" the train, and tell the engineer that he looked good by wherever. i once spotted a container of Smucker's Jelly open and jelly was everywhere....

  • Woo! A CN C40-8W!

  • Excellent video! Trains rock.

  • I love the sd70m-2's. Awesome!

  • Good GOD!! 119 cars!!!!!

  • they get that long everywhere!! Here a train was 122 cars the other day!! The longest one I've seen was 5 locos and 275 hoppers with coal!

  • What that thing is doing in Illinois I'll never know...

  • ahhhhhhhhhh the sd40, nice!

  • NICE VID!! I MISS THE GOOD OLD SD40s ON THE GRAIN TRAINS

  • How fast do you think it was going?

  • If anybody knows the length of a car, we could calc the speed, as 1 car length needs exactly 0.92 sec in this video... Assuming 40 feet containers plus 10 feet gap equals to 54.3 ft/s = 16.6 m/s = 59.6 km/h = 37.1 mi/h. Makes sense... Rail experts' comments welcome ;-)

  • I Love it!

  • Thanks, yea I had no idea what the power was on this train before it got here and the SD70M-2 really suprised me, because this was the first time that I'd ever seen them on this line.

  • Cool. Nice catch.

  • Thanks, would have caught him at Van Buren with that cool signal, but he only went as far as East Jct, which is about 1 quarter mile from Van Buren

  • no problem! Glad you liked!

  • Great video Adam. Was that a load or an empty, kinda sounded like an empty. Have a great day.

  • Thanks! I don't know for sure, but I would guess empty too.

  • That an SD70ACe, M-2, or 90MAC on the point? I can't tell. Awesome clip though, I love the rural scene.

  • Thanks! It's actually an SD70M-2. don't think CN has any ACers or 90MACS. I'm not really sure what the difference is between the Ace and the M-2.

  • M-2s are the DC version of the ACes. I like to call the M-2s "Duces". =D

  • ok thanks!

  • Lots of "Canada" grain cars ehhh,Cool,Don't get to see to many of them out West here....Great Video Dude!!!!!!And would you believe that it was in the high 60's in California today where I live with some kickass sunny skys and hot chicks sunbathing all over the place(at the beach that is)....LoL????;-D
