  • sorry but... are u the co-pilot??

  • always love your videos mate i hope you are my pilot sometime if i ever go to switzerland

  • das rumpelt aber ganz krass bei der Landung. Ist das normal?

  • ohh how i love HKG :3

  • What a perfekt landing :-) Nice video dude!

  • Thumbs up for Swiss <3

  • the captain isnt wearing his uniform

  • @Cathaydude wrong mate.

The black jumper is a uniform item and the flightcrew is allowed to wear it all the time.

    cheers

  • @dnhug oh... cool!

  • Too light is the exterior, and it is hard to understand, what I see.

    But nice video:)

  • @posseidonnnn one of my early vids, no sound or image editing was done. For better results, check my new stuff, should be better ;)

    cheers, dom

  • Germanauts

  • TOUCH DOWN!!! time for some Toblerone and swiss miss (thats hot chocolate if your wondering) ^_^

  • @deadmansvoice one of my fav chocolats aswell :)

  • @dnhug ahahahha id be surprised if a schweizer did not like chocolate, that would be like fish not liking water =P

  • how are you able to record these videos? like do they let you come in the cockpit and record? what? and also, why does it say "retard" right before touchdown? thanks

  • @44rears crewmembers = all access :)

That callout signalizes the time to set the thrust to idle.

    cheers, dom

  • nice landing :) these idiots killed kai tak :( lol "80 knots Schnauze runter"

  • @TheADLABerlin bin absolut einverstanden! Klarer airbus fan :)

Ich bin CCM (fa2) bei swiss seit knapp 9 jahren.

Auf welcher strecke bist du oft anzutreffen ?

    Mfg, dom

  • Supervid!.. Landing in HK seems easy..but dont forget..only water around it and as usual in Guangdong province..always wind! lol :-)

  • @TheADLABerlin

very true, wind and Fog/Pollution :)

Thx for watching mate, cheers, dom

  • great vid, thanx for sharing!

  • @matthiashaenni very welcome indeed!

    Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Excellent video. Twice I have been to Hong Kong and twice our Cathey Pacific B747 and then A340 alnded in runway 7L and took off runway 25L....

Such relief landing at Hong Kong after TWELVE non-stop hours from London. After 4 hours in the plane you don't know what todo with yourself.... very boring !

  • @MystiffDawn

thats good as a crewmember : you always have something to do, you can wonder around and have a look at whatever youre interested.

Or do some smalltalk with the passengers :-)

    thank you for watching mate,

    cheers, dom

  • Nice video. Are you a pilot? I just think swiss should have A346s instead of these smalls A343s...

  • In fact Swissair had A346s on order but they went bankrupt before the aircraft were built. Swiss had a more realistic view of the situation and deemed these too big for the swiss market. That's why they switched the order for the smaller A343. In my opinion their size is perfect, there is no need for bigger planes in Switzerland.

  • correct. Even though swiss could easy fill a 346 on certain routes (BKK, HKG, GRU etc) the 343 is ok for swiss. Many pilots at swiss were already looking forward to fly the "monster" :-)

Maybe for the future the a350xwb is a option for the 343 replacement.

    cheers, dom

  • small ? it´s a heavy-aircaft....and the A346 is not much bigger :P

  • its small if you compare it with th a346, 777, 747, a345, a380 etc...small for that long route

  • @trancebeliever

yes. But its the right size for swiss (in the moment).

Rather Fullhouse a343 then half empty a380's.

Emirates will find out about that one day aswell , LOL

Swiss was considering buying the 772.

    greetings, dom

  • @dnhug You are exactly right. I love the A380 but the airline needs to be able to fill them. Get the planes that are best for your routes and stick with them.

I think you are wrong about Emirates though. They have been highly profitable for almost 20 years. They know what they're doing, make no mistake

  • @k0nn0r future will tell if they do..

90 a380's is still a massive big fleet, and filling them all to at least 60% will be tricky. Especialy without any shorthaul planes commuting to DXB to bring transit pax..But like i said, we will see :)

  • @dnhug They have 84 777, 13 A380 and 47 A330/A340 that bring transit pax. They are filling their A380 to 95% right now. With airline traffic growing 5% every year, I have no trouble seeing how they can fill 90 A380s.

  • I like the Swiss pilot uniform, it's a bit different. A jumper and shirt and tie instead of the old suit. I guess the jumpers for keeping warm, eh?

I flew swiss in december to Zurich, great flight.

  • and yet another perfect landing! im guessing its the new A340?

  • ATA was 1730 local time in HKG,il try to get another one next time where we arent appr towards the sun.

    cheers man, dom

  • did you land in the morning or at sundown?
