Of course I would expect this great sound. These old uprights beat any new piano for sure. Having the string length sometimes of a 6' grand or more. Ad some aged wood to it, and real american quality, you have a perfect piano.

I should have added i bought this for just $20. true, its not exactly concert pitch but the sound is so much better when sitting infront=)
