For those who haven't figured this out on their own: All merchants (people that sell stuff) have a chest hidden under the map of the items they sell, might be a glitch, might be the way they're scripted because any other way may be much more difficult to do for the creators of Skyrim, or Bethesda games in general. Either way this isn't an Easter Egg or "invisible" there are tons of glitches to get under any part of Skyrim. This isn't a troll message just to inform people. Have fun playing :D

Its real. Feb 17/12 on PC. invisible chest exact spot as in this vid. FILLED with stuff. For me only 10% or so was worth taking to vendors but it was still a hell of a lot of stuff.

Huh. The items in the chest appear to be VERY similar to what the Khajit caravans sell. A few magical weapons and apparel, some regular weapons and apparel, various potions and poisons, soul gems, hides and last but not least moon sugar and skooma.

The chest belongs to the khajit at the entrance to Dawnstar.if you sell them something it Will go to the chest.but if there not there wait 24hrs and they should be there. To re-fill chest stand in front of the khajit who u sell and buy off wait 48hrs job done :-D

The chest's loot can vary depending on your level. In other words; the higher your level, the better the loot. Also, the loot respawns every ten in-game games. All this info. was obtained by watching different videos and threads. Hope that helped anyone and please, thumbs up so people can see it. Thanks.

The easiest way to tell it's not fake, it's on a console and not on a pc. A pc allows really quick modding, however consoles don't (unless you are super awesome like that) so, if you don't see a cursor, or if you can just tell the difference in graphics (I know I can) you can tell if it's 100% real, or perhaps not (not saying all pc recorders mod)

@pms00 i just took all the gear out dumped the bits I didnt want on the floor and fast traveled to whiterun got that chest waited 48 hours went to winterhold then went back to dawnstar and the chest was refilled

@Tayranasaur you have to go to the khajiit vendor of dawnstar (fast travel there and look left, if they are not there wait to arroun 10 am of the next day or repeat, ask to see their inventory and exit, wait 48 hours, chest respawned, repeat.

@Tayranasaur ok well if you dont know who this chest belongs to it the khajiit caravans stuff they are the tigers that sell stuff in skyrim so what you have to do for it all to come back travel to dawnstar wait till 9 am you will see a camp they will be there when the camp is there and the tigers are there keep talking to all of them till you can ask whats for sale? and look at the stuff go to the chest and it wil have came back keep doing this every 48 hours remember go to 9 am easy money. :)

Guys, if you want the items to respawn (they will be different), just look at the khajit caravans trader inventory and wait 48 hours. He should be at the entrance of Riften, Dawnstar or by the Windhelm stables!

I think it's the vendor stash for Ahkari, the Khajiit caravan trader that wanders between Dawnstar and Riften. I read on another forum or something that the developers usually place the vendor's stash underneath their shop location on the map (somewhere unreachable by the player). Since these caravans wander and are not in a fixed location, they had to put the chest somewhere (preferably unreachable by the player) and probably mistyped the coordinates or something.

@treo9999 To test/confirm this, just craft something unique at a forge (give it a unique name) and sell it to Ahkari....then go straight to this invisible chest to see if it shows up.  I think it resets its contents every 10 in-game days.
