  • Excellent work. I love the slow-mo of the fireball. It looks like you had a tennis ball on top of the rocket that exploded. Perhaps that prevented the release of the rubber stopper creating excessive pressure.

  • It was fun seeing all this in slow motion. The yellow object on top was a foam "practice" baseball; very low mass, just enough to forward weight the rocket and provide a little impact cushioning for landing. I don't think that prevented the rubber stopper from popping out, as the entire dry weight of this rocket is less than the dry weight + filled upper stage weight of you 2-stage version.

  • Catasrophic Dissasembly would be a good name for a rock band.
