  • good group ah yes

  • Great & Wonderfull !!!

  • Best cover found on Spotify. Peter Mafay and Sonny Landreth 8:50 long.

  • Great performance, wonderful sound, hot! Love it!! I once camped my Trillium trailor, illegally, in the Square for 5 days during Mardi Gras. This music is the REAL THING. Takes you back and back and back . God bless the Neville Brothers.

  • konbit123

  • from announcement of Aaron Neville they must've just done Tell It Like It Is

  • This is absolutely the best version of this song. They took a great song and made it so much better. I've seen The Neville Brothers numerous times and it is impossible for them to put on a bad performance, they are a must see to apreciate the incredible talent in this group.

  • New Orleans heart and soul!

  • Brilliant. What a great band!

  • love the way the sax took the harp part from sonny's original and just bent the hell out of it.....great drumming, great song....'orleans funk at it's best....

  • This is very fine and probably "as good" as the Sonny Landreth version I heard, but different. I think for me, the Landreth version is a bit more to my tastes, just barely.

  • I've been trying to get video of Willie Green doing this solo for some time! It's incredible how he holds the kick pattern while playing different rhythms over the top. Probably take me 3 years to learn that.

  • Jupps....the one and ONLY Aaron Neville....

  • This is the best!

  • GO SAINTS!!!!! 2010 champs

  • by FAR better tHAn the originAL, GOD BLESS NEVILLE BROTHERSSSS!!!!

  • Nothing is ever "better than the original", because without "the original" there is no other version. This is a great "performance", a great "cover" Aaron does a great job, and the drummer is out of this world, but the guitar player aint Sonny Landreth, and this is HIS song. HE gets the credit......

  • @rightshag That makes no sense, sorry. Just because without the original there is no other version, doesn't mean something can't be better than the original.

  • @rightshag That's one of the sillier things I've ever heard here. Plenty of versions can be "better" than the original. The thing you can't take away from an "original" is that it's the original. Much of the world of jazz and blues is based upon taking the original tunes and playing them WAY better to my ear than the original. Would I rather hear Dylan butcher Like a Rolling Stone or Jimi Hendrix play the hell out of it. Better is in the ear of the beholder. I love both versions here.

  • @bayouhazard Sorry, I haven't explained myself properly. I agree that whether or not you like any song, irrespective on who performs it, is personal. I think it's common knowledge that Bob D likes Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower better than his own. The point is, without the original there can be no other version. When somebody does their take on somebody else's song it is DIFFERENT. Because Sonny wrote this great song we can all take pleasure in other people's versions - amen

  • Love the Neville Brothers but they need to leave those white people alone, they might get lice and maggots from them...ha!...ha!

  • I like the Tom Principato version a whole bunch too

  • Get the fuck outta here.

  • LOvethis version of The original of Sonny Landreth THis one is one of the best covers of Sonnys song

  • Awesome song and performance.

  • Omg, listen do this 2:50

  • Saw them do this live last week! One of the best shows I've ever seen!
