  • From the first moment Hamas took over the Gaza strip, democracy in Gaza was terminated and replaced by a terrorist dictatorship. Hamas upholds its totalitarian reign with a deadly iron fist: arresting, beating, torturing, injuring and killing suspected political activists in Gaza. Many Fattah (The organization of president Abbas) members in Gaza, along with their families, were murdered by Hamas armed forces, and only a few of them managed to escape the Gaza strip.

  • Unfortunately what Gustavthinks isn't worth the time.

Taken from the BBC on 26th Jan 2006:

    "Hamas sweeps to election victory

Islamic militant group Hamas has won a surprise victory in Wednesday's Palestinian parliamentary elections.

Preliminary results give Hamas 76 of the 132 seats in the chamber, with the ruling Fatah party trailing on 43."

  • @fbreza gustavthinks' point is that while elections may have been democratic, as soon as Hamas gained power that democracy went down the toilet and was replaced by a totalitatian, terroristic, brutal regime. Hamas has done no favors for the people of Gaza and actually was responsible for many of their deaths.
