lol, Ulquiorra's number dissapears when he uses his 2nd Res.(so it is safe to assume that he becomes stronger even than top3 espadas). And from what he is show, he is at least stronger than Halibel (not sure 'bout Barragan, Stark, Yammy and WW).

And someone here said that Byakuya is stronger than Ukitake o.O - NO FUCKIN WAY. There are only two Shinigamis for sure stronger than him - Yama and Aizen. Shunsui and Unohana are probably Ukitake equal's.

i think what made halibel stronger than ulquiora is that ulquiora can only get stronger than her when it's night time. when they went to karakura town the sun is up, they left ulquiora in hueco mundo bec he is alot stronger there..

Arturo losing to rukia was lame, but zommari stood no chance vs. byakuya.

byakuya could block the amor eyes, and zommari had no real protection against senbonzakura kageyoshi, much less senkei.

But actually, #9 losing to Rukia was pretty cool. Not only did he think he knew all her techniques, but he banked on her not being able to kill Kaien, which pretty much worked. If she hadn't had the "life flash before your eyes" she would have went down without a fight. If he wanted to he could have completely obliterated her, but he was arrogant, as most of the Espada are, and that killed him.

my bad with the name, and it made sense from a dramatic standpoint, but i'm in bleach mainly, if not entirely, for awesome fight scenes.

getting stabbed in the head by a half-dead person on the end of the spear you're holding does not a good fight make.

I think in some of the episodes after the Turn Back the Pendelum arc in the anime. Right now in the manga, Shunsui is fighting Stark, the Primero Espada.

Don't matter how much stronger they are half the time, the only way the espadas lost is cuz they did something epicly stupid in their fight. number 9 put his face up to Rukia and stared into the sword. Number 8 tried to control millions of blossoms, with only 80 eyes, i believe. The higher espadas will be much more powerful, considering only a, what I call, a pure vizard is required to kill a number 4. (latest bleach chapter).

Ukitake is stronger than Byakuya with or without his illness; he deflects a cero with one hand while comfortably seated, Byakuya cant do that yet. Byakuya had to use his bankai to beat the 7th espada; he did it easily only because senbonzakura was the perfect counter for that mind control attack. Kyoraku didn't even need bankai to beat the 1st espada when Ukitake is considered on par with Kyoraku according to Kubo.

Little brat or not, Starrk's little friend (forgot her name) still had a good deal of reiatsu and cero is a dodge-if-possible type of attack with a lot of destructive force which has its power determined by the amount of reiatsu put in it; so you don't need a lot of skill to pull off a powerful cero. The only reason Ukitake is able to treat the kid as a... well, kid is because he is quiet powerful on his own right. As for Shunsui using bankai: Must have done it when I wasn't looking.
