Best level in the ENTIRE game. Sadly, there's hardly any monsters throughout, but this is the only place in Homecoming that actually looked pretty scary. I always loved when I got to this part in the game.

Eh, this game is just an attempt to emulate what the past SH games have done. SH1-3 are where its at. Everything after that is average. Maybe with a few really good moments, but overall too unoriginal; stuff we've already seen accomplished with the Team Silent games. imo.

I played through this level yesterdaynight. I'm with the bossfight Scarlet now. That scene with the doll scared me so bad, I just paused the game and sat there for a minute or 2 before I continued playing. When I read reviews, I always hear people moaning about 'that it isn't scary at all'. Well, maybe I'm stupid, but I completely disagree. I've never been more scared to play a game and I'm very glad I've bought Silent Hill Homecoming. A lot better than 'average action game' Resident Evil 5.

You probably haven't played any of the original silent hill games (1-4) because they are WAY scarier this. This game never scared me once and seemed more like a typical cliche horror movie IMO I guess if you scare easily this game might be kind of scary...or maybe im just used to scarier games lol

Well, I have to tell you that I didn't play Silent Hill 3. I can't find it anywhere. To me this whole hell descent level is the scariest level in a videogame, if you count the elementary level in F.E.A.R. 2 and the hospital levels in Siren Blood Curse out.

check gameco or anywhere that sells used games you should be able to find it. i found a copy for 5 bucks. and if F.E.A.R. scared you silent hill 3 will really freak you out. And the hospital levels in siren blood curse are really tense and creepy especially when your controlling bella.

It's true. Everything in the game just felt like just that: a game, not a world. This game CARES if you reach the end-not that it's easy of course-while in the others you feel as if you just stood there in the fog or darkness the world could go on forever. Or maybe it's just the grainier graphics that made them scary, who knows :P Plus this story sucked.

Because the commentary is horrible, especially when they talk over the story parts.

One of the better uploaders is Barutv. He doesn't speak, to allow for more focus on the story, but instead breaks up the more boring parts with comedy (i.e. Sh4's Cynthia ghost fight). He even does a nice intro to each video-which I very much miss now.

You need a VERY good 'radio personality' to do commentary well. Otherwise, better to stick to text, annotations, or just 'show the movie'.

lunaroutcast made a really good SH:Origins PSP walkthrough with written commentary. Imo the commentary added a lot of flavor to the viewing and didn't spoil the gameplay one bit.

MAn! the game has an OWN STORY LINE, thats why this is called WALKTHROUGH!!! He just plays to show the best way to pass through the game. If u dont wanna see lunaroutcast (in my opinion one of the bests gameplayers) just dont do it. There are like... what?, a zillion of gameplayers outhere?? select one, watch their videos and enjoy them. Good luck

I'm starting to dislike this game now somewhat this whole level is based off that part in the Silent Hill movie where the devil alessa was at in the beginning also shows resemblance to the coal fires burning under the town in the movie. Pyramid Head is here for the fan service not for plot. Also the Nurses only react to the flashlight someone commented on a earlier video from lunaroutcast. no originality I hate how video games are going so mainstream its killing them miserably.

yeah I finally finished the whole game walkthrough and really *Spoiler Alert* pyramid Head only showed up twice in in-game cutscenes and once for the Judgement ending so it wasn't as bad as thought it would be but still was unnecessary but i have a couple theories y they used him. but once all the story came together about how josh was killed by alex and the bosses representing the kids who were sacrificed in the way they were killed I started enjoying it alot more. quite good for a new dev team

Well the flashlight and the nurses being attracted to it are more focused on in the movie and every thing is attracted to sound so i never made a point on that nor on the siren that was total silent hill 1 and 2 material its like the bread and butter trademark of the series. And yes pyramid head shouldn't have been here he shoulda been a different creature but like i said besides fan service i think i have some theories on it but they're not true it will just be fan service no hidden reasons...
