I've read the manga so I know the reasoning but it's still a lapse in judgment by the bad guys. Like really now Dark Kingdom, use your heads! The MOON Princess is named Sailor Venus, yet there's a Sailor MOON? Plus it's not even like Sailor Moon is the leader of the senshi here. First Mars was said to be the leader, then Venus. They should be wondering... what's the purpose of having a "Sailor Moon" then?

Each of the senshi are princesses of their own planets. So Rei in a past life was princess of Mars, Ami of Mercury, Makoto of Jupiter etc so in a way yes, Minako IS a princess, just not the moon Princess

Yes Usagi is the princess but the senshi and Luna do not know that. I think because since Minako is second in command of the senshi (counting Usagi) she masquerade the princess. Just my opinion.

I thought this was on the manga, the whole Venus-is-the-princess thing. She and Artemis was hypnotised (well not the right word), but V's the 1st sailor and her memory was changed so that she thought she was the princess. This will end when the real princess wakes up. She was chosen for the mission since she's the leader of the Sailors.

Sailor Venus is a princess on her own planet, but helps protect the moon kingdom alongside with the real moon princess Usagi/Serena/Bunny. There are 4 inner senshi's that protect the moon kingdom. I watched this many times and the anime, and I get every piece of detail on how they are similar and different between the 2. I'm also learning a lot of Japanese through it as well.

Thank you so much for uploading these series. I really enjoy watching them.

@srw190098 Regardless if you've watched the anime or read the manga, PGSM was intended to be something completely different. It does follow the manga and some aspects from the anime, but in the end, PGSM was meant to be viewed as if you've never seen the anime or read the manga. They felt no reason to just take the anime/manga and recreate it exactly with real people thus why it seems so different. It was intended to be different to catch more viewers.

Depending on my mood, I also really love Sailor Mercury. She has more character in this series than she did in the anime, at least I never really payed much attention to her in the anime. How about you?

In 08 I also saw some sailor scouts and a tuxedo mask. But I definitely want to go as Princess Sailor Moon and you should cosplay, too. Maybe we'll see each other there. n_n
