Those kids should never have been alowed on stage, they are not prepared enought...but once again it is an amateur thing...even the hands aren't correct, the feet, the portée...it's not too attack, it's just "noticing", I hope their next show will be more "worked on"
i dont think dancingmeghan is being mean, she is telling the truth, the students in this clip are not good, and if you're going to call her insensitive, then take your videos off the web! they are here for people to see them, annndddd judge them, why else would there be commenting. to add on, she never said she was a great dancer so stop attacking her.
Ok wow. I did not..and never have gotten into an argument with a video. If you actually read my responses you'll see that I'm not trying to purposly be a "bashful ass" but more of a strong opinioned critic. But I'll take the critism givin to me about my critism. And btw I am a ballet dancer. I dance 10-5/6 days a week. And I do not have arthritic feet...they're just tendonitis infested! I do not contract my posts and will not.
But I am sorry if my comments seem like a personal attack on the young dancers. They are not. Again I commend the director for getting kids and people in/to a ballet. But I do not see why my truthful words are creating such bitter reactions.
By the way megan ,iwonder wht u wud do with such a few hrs of practice? wud i be able to even use u in a ballet adapation of mine?????? ithink not. just imagine what another insensitive person like u wud comment about u r perfomance!!!!!! artistic director of swan lake.
wow! am touched my the sentiments and defence by dimensiondance and dexconnie, amazed at their perceptions and foresight..appalled by the lack of finesse in dancingmegan who maynot know that these kids do approx 4 hrs of ballet a week and demonstrated amazing technique for such a few hrs of practice this is an amatuer production and will keep u posted when we upload the videos with the seniors
IMO the director is not commendable "for the quality standards in the ballet". He is commendable for getting kids/people to a ballet at all (no matter the quality) though.
I'm not trying to be mean, but more frank. I realize most schools can not/do not achieve professional or even pre-professional productions or technique. To elevate ballet in classical form is wonderful! But to do so in such a 'Dolly Dinkle' way and then to call someone who comments on the performance, empty and unfair is quite offensive. Again I'm not trying to be cruel, but more like a harsh critic...I've seen 4 year olds dance with more discipline.
this doesn't even deserve a response. but seriously how does a school like that have so many students while the 'real' schools are lacking? maybe it's because the teacher and/or director would kill the girl who scratches her ear onstage?
yeesh.
this is mildly hideeodorous.
