  • A lot of money on equipment.. so little effort on playing something that worths it.. life is so unfair.

  • He learned that riff overnight and figured himself a bass player in the morning.

  • Bet this guy is a guitar player trying to play bass.

  • i hope TC elctronics have changed this endorser. this guy is deaf

  • I am not convinced by the TC Amp at all Ampeg and the Gallien Krueger sounded a lot better by far.

  • Guys I just found out that this guy is 6' 8inches tall....this must be the biggest jazz bass in the world...48inch neck!!!!

  • sorry bro, your playing has no soul and flat so thats why it sounds flat no matter what you play thru...oh and by the way get rid of that rat nest with the skunk streak off your head maybe us real bass players would listen to what you have to say...

  • This guy says he likes the tc head by far??...of course hes getting paid to say that...funny thing is even though this guy is trying to say and make the tc sound better the gk to me sounds alot better...and that extra high end from the gk will help the bass player CUT through the mix as appose to the tc which will help you SIT in the mix....I rather hear my self when im live then blend in with the drummer and have to keep turning myself up live and screw the sound for the band..

  • First would be Ampeg, then Gk and far behind Tc...Price Ampeg $2,000, Gk $250, Tc $600....No brainer....GK for $250...come on guys...You can get a Gk and a 4/10 cab for $700...thats about a third of the Ampeg head alone, and about the price of the TC(shitty sound) head....Come on guys post replys to THIS!!

  • is he small or is the Jazz bass ginormous?

  • Cut your hair

  • @chjohnst Dad... Is that you?

  • @prodicus17 no satan

  • a 210 and 212 arent good to pair together

  • 1) No G-K cabs for a cross-comparison? (G-K amps are voiced for G-K cabs.)

    2) The SVT II sounded bigger & better than the RH450.

    3) You offered no proof re your claim that tubetone could nail the Ampeg sound.

    4) You didn't have a P-Bass strung with flats to provide a contrast to that round-wound strung J.

    5) You might want to raise the J's E string a tad so that you can do more than just slap it.

  • I too prefer the sound of the Ampeg than the RH450 set flat. Why didn't he compare the RH450 with TubeTone on, with the Ampeg SVT-II there and then? He had them both set up....?! Makes me think they're not as similar as he claims they are...

  • The TC sounds a bit thin in comparison to the Ampeg.

  • I feel like I hear something suppressed in the TC on the lower open strings. I hear it go by a few times over the video. I've played a lot of GK and Ampeg. I do know some folks who are very happy with the TC rig though.

  • hey... GREAT... This was actually very helpful. Thank you.

  • technique could use some work buddy

  • Meh...

  • he is an awfull bass player.. anybody can play that.

is he famous or well known or something cos thats the only way he could get this job. the timings out in places, he misses notes - and thats not good for a pro player - or any player really...

  • Totally agree. I don't mean to cut down people, but he does not play well at all. I recently started the bass on a pure amateur level and I can honestly say that he does not play better.

Some people might say "but here, he is not trying to show off his skills". No no no!!!! A good player sounds like one, whether he plays one note or 100 notes. Similarly, a bad player will sound bad no matter how fast he moves his fingers...

Just my 2 cents here (even though I am considering the RH450)

  • this would be a better demostration with a better bass player.

  • I think he does fine...for what it is.

  • Thanks for uploading this, I was trying to get a decent audio demonstration/comparison on the RH for some time. Cheers.

  • man, why is it so bright?! is it those speakers? dont know too much about them, that's why i'm asking..

not a fan of that TC head. sounds really constrained to me. the GK sounds the most open, and the brighter sound would be far more versatile cause you can easily darken it up if you wish; you can't properly brighten up a dark head without losing all the low end.

i'm currently in the market for a new amp, and i'm currently thinking of a GK400 head with an eden 112/210 cab. opinions please? thx

  • @seanevans1992 this video is terrible, the TC head/cab rocks.

  • Nice review. Different strokes for different folks. I much prefer the Gallien Kruger. I have felt the same when I tried both those set ups at the store.

  • I just brought the RH450 with a RS210 and a RS212. I have a Mesa 400+ and a Hartke 810XL. It should be interesting to mix these up. Great reviews btw. Like your bands song too.

  • Nice review, Chris! I picked up an RH450 and thus far, I love it.
