Just come back to re look at this video, And yes, I still think the same as when i first watched this video. Awesome, And the way this video portrays emotion is incredible, Even if the emotions were played out, just incredible, I hope to hell you make it to the big time soon! Hope to see some more of your videos soon brother! One of my favourite subs to date. Keep on truckin brother.
hey bro i never bought a dslr before. since d5000 is within my price range ive decided to buy it. i dont really care bout its performance as a still camera my main intention is to make short films with its video feature (most of which will have plenty of low light scenes) would you say buying d5000 would be a wise choice for me?
@ButtFiXx Absolutely! As long as you have some good lenses to go along with it, and remember to lock the exposure because it can vary WILDLY when panning.
did you do the slowmo in post or did you transcode the files? What is your work flow like I will be getting the canon 7d or 5d mark 2 like we have talked about previous. Looks like it might of been done in post it is a little blended or maybe that is youtube.?
@Whitelinefilms Yep you're right. It was done in post. Im having trouble with progressive scan modes with this footage. It records as .avi on the camera. But its 24p. So I'm not sure if the pulldown is being done inside the camera or if it needs to be done post. I'll keep experimenting with it to see if I can get better results.
Right on Dave...that camera is kick ass bro. The other day at orientation when you said you have lost your creative feel...well looks like its working just fine to me!! Hope to see you out at Suncor some time. I just did a week of night shift out at Syncrude. Dont know what I am doing next. Been off for 2 days again... :(
@Newfieguy89 Thanks Todd. Hope work picks up for you. Im off in another couple days, so if you're still hanging around we should go grab a coffe or something.
Seriously you have so much talent its unbelievable, this is a 1 minute video yet you can feel so much emotion from it, it actually gets the audience to think about there own actions and how they deal with stuff and possibly get them to go about things differently to what they normally would, well thats how i see this video as, & its just great to have you back, Hope to see more videos from you soon! Keep up the good work :)
wow dave, you've been gone waaaaay to long, you definitely have a talent for creating great vids, now if we can just get you back in a truck that would be such a treat for all of us, just kidding, you gotta do what you gotta do, welcome back!
Thank you. You've put into words and video the way I have felt for months. Always loved your films, keep on trucking.
