I have to agree with you. Mainstream music sucks and is overplayed. Back in the day a band and artist had to be talented to make good music. Now days you don't even have to be a good singer, you just let the computers do all the work. Mainstream music SUCKS, i strongly urge people to break away from it and discover for themselves the countless number of bands / artists out there that are so much better than the shit you hear everyday on the radio and t.v

The problem with mainstream is that someone surrends to another social pressure to listen to a certain song or artist, even if he doesn't like the style, and forces himself to like it to be accepted. Back in the day, you discovered bands on your own. You'd develop a certain taste through listenin' to certain bands, find your type of music to listen to, and the band/ artist that plays it. It made discovering the band/artist more rewarding and personal.
