@kaoko111 i can see where they got the idea Bass Playing is easy, 1: it looks easy. 2: once your past basics, its sortof easy, so real bass players like me, may have told others its easy (although i havnt said its easy... til now i guess, lol.) 3: most bands are to unintelligent to know a bass can be more than a rhythmic insturment, so it looks easy, and somtimes sounds easy. 4: a bass is easier than a regular guitar (i should know, ive played both lots of times.

countined from my previous comment: one last thing, if you want to start playing bass guitar people, listen to this: even bass gutiars can give you a calis (idk how to spell it, lol) so this means it will hurt a little (or alot if your sensitive/weak) learning how to understand the frets, TABS, etc... is difficult if your a beginner easier if you have played an acoustic or Electric guitar so if your willing to try, make sure of this: you have enough to buy a bass, without money, no bass guitar..

Well, a real bass player, like you, must know that it's need more than the basic stuff to be a good bass player, yes, you can make great songs by using simple bass lines even if the other instruments have more complex lines. And I played both too and can tell you it's not more or less easy to play, see bass players like Les Claypol or John Miyung, can you tell other people that is "easy" while your listening to primus or dream theater?.

once you pass basics, its sort of easy to play AVERAGE SONGS, i dont include major onces that experts can play like most of ACDCs songs or some of metallicas. a bass is actually easier than a "Regular" guitar. (for some its much easier like me, but for some people its not as easy, but still easier.) all i mean by "Real Bass Player" is that i play a real bass, i dont mean im really awesome at it or anything.
