  • if you wait forget tit u will just end up being a private pilot....

  • If u wanna work for the airlines better get your pilots license """NOW"" an get as many hours u can possiable flying... an then get first officer on a turbo prop such as Delta an school an more school to work your way up the ladder..... ughhh why i just work as a tech.. but plan on getting my private pilots license....ASAP.....

  • Remember Jonah, when you are hired to an airline, it's very rare to be able to choose which airplane you want to fly. I want to fly turboprops because I find joy in flying at lower altitudes, seeing sights, and hand flying. I also don't like looking forward to things that will come to me once I'm 35-40.

Good luck my friend, this wasn't to change you, I just felt you should be aware.

  • @Boeing757200A I know, it's too bad you can't pick your Aircraft for what you want to fly. If I could, I would pick between four aircraft. 757 - 737- MD-88 - MD-90. If the DC-9's were going to be around that would have been my first choice - Too bad they're leaving :(

  • @jonahair747 The MD-90s are decent. I don't like the idea of a maddog with engines that are also fitted on an A320.

  • @Boeing757200A I agree, I'm not a fan of the engines as well. I rather have the JT8D's on them and stick with the MD-88's. But if they did have a different engine on the MD-90's, I would want the CFM-56. the 737's and A320's have those, not to bad for an engine. Also, what great sound they have on take off, the deep hum.

  • @jonahair747 The A320 has CFM56-5B/C engines. The 737 series has CFM56-3B or CFM56-7A/B- series engines. The A320's CFM is a little bigger in diameter. I'm not a huge fan of the scream if you sit up front, I like IAEs alot more on 320s. I also hear the IAEs are alot better when it comes to performance and maintenance.

To be honest, if it ain't Boeing, I ain't going.

  • @jonahair747 Concordes are good planes if only they were still flying, i loved hearing one come into the airport near me it was awesome

  • Nice vid. howd you get in the cockpit?

  • This is the reason why hydraulics remain unpressurised on the ground, to prevent injuries and death to ground personnel and engineers.

  • @EinkOLED Right, but the Hydraulics were off at the time.. I have never had a Pilot say no I cannot increase the thrust, plus the engines wouldn't do anything they're off anyway.

  • @jonahair747 It adds fuel pressure if the fuel pumps are on, not much though. No fuel goes to waste anyways it continues to stay in the gas tank. It's not like it falls out the back of the engine lmao.

Check out my channel please... I'll add a new video next week.

  • hey! u didnt align the irs switches , lol

  • Some pilots are like that they can be really arrogant and cocky, then again some are really nice and cool....

  • he probably thought u were annoying asking to do everything

  • Cooloney, Jonah! How did pulling the stick back felt? Did it feel heavy? You know the 717 video I responded to you? The control stick feels very heavy! BTW, I did like when you grab the stick with both hands. I like that concept compare to the one-stick concept.

  • Nice view. Good manners too lol!

  • went to JFK from SFO last week on delta 757-200... really nice plane!! i love the winglets. i think i want to be a commercial airline pilot too, even if i am a girl, idc what people say :)

  • @dassie84344 That is so awesome, pretty rare to see a female Pilot these days! Keep following your Pilot future! I'm almost there ;) By the way, if you have a camera laying around, record the landing and takeoff's.

  • @jonahair747 thank you!! and my camera sucks so i don't use it =\ oh and i have a question, have you flown a plane before? like a cessna? (or besides using flight simulator) i told my dad i was interested in pursuing a career in being a pilot but he told me that it's pretty much unrealistic for me since im already 16 and that people usually start earlier than that :(

  • @dassie84344 no its not to late to start!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @dassie84344 youre definitely not too old to start, the minimum age for a PPL is 17! many people start much older than you are, youre still young :)

  • @dassie84344 I was at Manchester airport yesterday, and i watched a female land a Southwest Airlines 737-700 with major crosswinds, and she did better than some of the male pilots!!

  • @dassie84344 YES PILOTS FOR EVER!!!

  • Tomorrow, I am going to Orlando on a Delta 757-300! I will probably ask them to see if I can go sit in the cockpit. I can't wait!!!

  • @delta747fan YEa do it dude! And get good footage of the wing!

  • @jonahair747 I will definitely get footage!!!!!! I am so excited!! Nice vid by the way!

  • @delta747fan haha have fun bud

  • lucky

  • nice video dude i also wanna fly the boeing 737-800 or singapore airline a380

  • Align the IRS! lol cool video! no thrust on the ground? the DC-9 captain says otherwise!

  • @mugsylol That's what I said!

  • Why do you have to make me so god damn jelous?

  • @tomcat8492 haha, I don't try to lol. Next time you fly ask to sit in the Cockpit after you land they always let me, I'm sure They'll let you
