Old minecraft in my opinion is so much better than the new minecraft with the new stuff. I also prefer the old lighting system and the old cobble texture. I just think it makes the game feel so much better. Thumbs up if you agree

i prefer having the base of the trap come over one block like his did originally, then have signs to stop the water, and drop the arrows into a water channel. simple, and fast. and signs don't have edges so nothing gets caught

I have a problem. My drowning traps always fail because the monsters can jump and keep their head above water. I can't get them to go in the drowning pit. What am I doing wrong?

@joesimmons90 OK I figured out you need a glass viewing wall. Not actually for viewing, but mobs ignore glass as a surface and don't try to swim up.

Can someone help me? I used the same design as coe but smaller (5 blocks wide) and the skeletons only drown half the time when they go into the drowning pit. It works but it could be alot faster if they drowned right away.

So I'm thinking theres nothing wrong with your trap and you did pritty good ^-^ Tell me if I was wrong, please, I like to learn from my mistakes...

@Ncs666 Drowning isnt the only means of killing them. If you want to go for more of an 'instikill' idea, brin the current to a point where it only flowas along the ground in a 1-block thick cannal. At the end, dig a hole 5 back and put a lava sorce at the end. Put ladders at the point where the conveyor and lava meet, so that you you have a lava 'spike'. Then build a regular collection cannal system.

@MegaMinecraftMedia No, I didnt say I invented it. The only thing I invented was the simpler bianery (is that how you spell it?) calculator. Its not very good, a n00b could have thought of it, but I still say its an invention none-the-less. I also built (but not necacerily invented, as I dont think it counts as an invention) an infinite lava sorce and cliffside TNT defences.

@kalennighteyes My strategy is to just explore cave systems until you hear a suspicious sound, then you spam the F key and look below and all around yourself until you see a flaming box.

I found my first double dungeon that way, spider and skeleton, I plan on making a two in one item collector if possible.

You could put the ladders *under* the water outflow. Then you won't need the cobble barrier (you might need to replace it with glass). But then you'll need to make your collection channel one level deeper and place one or two source blocks in it.

AUGH COE!!! i messaged you about this, but at 8:52, the arrows will only flow out if you put a source block where they are, where the skeletons fall. If you put 1 source block on each of the spaces, all the arrows will pour out!
