i can confirm there was no strike when this was releasedin the UK in 1983 , there was a water strike but it had nothing to do with vinyl (which is what records were made of then) that was in the early 1970s in Britain when there was a shortage of everything, far more likely it was fashion and taste, although i have to say this record was much better than half the rubbish clogging up the UK chart then, i know frida had some success stateside post abba, did agnetha? i know pete cetera was involved

Agnetha made her album "I Stand Alone" with Peter Cetera in the States in 1987. it had limited success there, but is in fact very good - see my video "If You Need Somebody Tonight". Yes this song here was far better than the stuff in the UK charts!

Agnetha was searingly hot, and she knew it - there's no doubt. I'm not sure that she disliked all the attention her looks gave her during the Abba days, but there's no doubt she was revelling in it by this time. Just look at the promotional pictures (wearing a towel etc.). Love the close ups here (freeze the frame at 1.49 !!) She was a GODDESS!!

This was not a big hit in the UK because of a dispute or strike with distrubution.Abba have always had a big following in the UK,their popularity dipped everywhere just after they split up,not just the UK.
