  • You're probably already aware by now that you can change the timescale so that it's two turns a year cycling through the seasons, which gives your generals a more realistic lifespan, and pretty much everything else in the game, the default timescale is 2.00 so to change it to two turns a year you need to set it to 0.50.

You'll have to look online for details of how to do it.

  • If Total war had the time progress system of Europa Universalis it would be awesome.

  • IDIOT.... enough said

  • those are great sugestions

  • You're an idiot. Nobody from Creative Assembly will ever see this. Oh and did I mention you're an idiot?

  • @skyanimal seriously, the idea would not work. buildings take years to build and the same with units.

i think a idea like that would seriously ruin the total war series.

  • @elobiretv no, the tw games now are perfically fine. i agree some times its not realistic but it usually is, besides im willing to sacrafice realism for good gamplay.

anyway tw is more based around the fighting.

  • @skyanimal

you dont understand though. for a short term based game it would be perfect, but for tw it is just stupid. besides moving a army from say rome to gaul would take up to 20 turns because it realistically takes weeks, where it may just take 2 turns.

  • if you changed the turn system into days then constructing a building such as a church will take about 50 turns, when as turns are about 6 months it only takes 2 turns.

  • you keep saying "realistic" NO game is meant to be realistic.. If total war was very very realistic, then it would not be fun. Realism in games have proven not to take off (look at games like ARMA 2 or Sudden Strike 3). As to your time slots, it should be a constant time flow, so there is no "end turn". Personally, i think Population should be the next step. This is so you cannot SPAM 50 million men from one settlement. I think that will make the game more challenging for you :)

  • that'd be good too. though i don't how much power that would take for the computer to support that.

what also would be a good idea is to have more control over your military. meaning, firing/dismissing generals that are crappy and appointing better ones.

i'd also like to see a more realistic feel to these games. music that matches the period and civil wars/rebellions if your gov'n becomes unpopular.

  • Sorry no offense.

No more american bullshit we just got a good Game NTW without the americans it feels so much better of a game no more american shit.

    NO OFFENSE

  • totally agree its nice nod back to the esscence of the games with NTW.

  • @AlienTechProductions God, imo the guns ruined it, in medieval they were fun bcoz they were at the end and not that great, but NTW and ETW were just not fun (IMO) coz the battles were only based on guns.. IMO !!

  • i would most definitely want to see a total war: americas game or expansion. where you can play an american civil war campaign or the independence of the spanish and/or portuguese colonies.

an american civil war game would be just fine though. it could follow along historical lines but also diverge as well. like the european powers getting involved.

you could also use iron clads which follow the same tactics as sailing ships from the 18th century. a game like that, i would buy.

  • Shogun Total War means the world to me at the moment till i'm done my shogun project

  • Its a mod about the Eastern part of the world. Mainly Japan, China and that area. Ming Dinesty, stuff like that. Japanese clans etc.

Its' going to be quite awesome.

  • Get AI Mods from total war center. That should help you out.

  • Who cares? And btw are you sitting in a jail cell? lol

  • I agree on that, but CA made me change the total meaning of TW games i loved them when i was younger and still do, but they dont have the charm anymore after this mistake they did by releasing a beta test game. Now i went over to Paradox Games and play Europe Universalis 3 and Hearts of Iron 3, which are brilliant games and the way the turns change is very nice instead of waiting on 50 nations to make their moves. So i hope Napoleon: Total War will bring CA back on the road again! :)

  • I like your opinions, ETW is to outdated and its basicly the same in a diffrent time frame, AGAIN, AGAIN and AGAIN!!

  • We now need a shogun total war 2 lets all petition if you agree and find a sight and tell me it so i can petition :p

  • Wait for a Mod called All Under Heaven for MIITW.

  • play online

  • yeah that too i wonder what empires gona be like i heard the dimplomats will be wayy better

  • the diplomats need to be way more effective. they should be able to spark a civil war or cause two factions to attack each other or calling for a ceasfire. the only real way to hurt an enemy in this game is to attack with a army. i think in tw u should be able to strangle your enemy through the econmy by causing a resesion or causing your allies econmy to flourish give rebles money to put pressure on your foes

  • yeah like i put it on very hard to and i still want a harder challange like i want to be endanger of being destroyed that would be cool

  • the game is stupid once i played on the hardest and i didnt get atacked. once i atacked germany i was france and there was no retaliation. but sometimes i get atacked for no reason by everyone. i wish that the game would make more sence but anyways its a good game. i just hope they fix it in emoire totalwar

  • i managed to in rome, it was easy to play peacefully. in medieval if i attack scotland everyone suddenly panics and goes against me

  • i played peacefully :P

  • then maby you dont know the defination of "total war". but also AI is crapy. cross fingers for Empire

  • total war=total defeat. One must always have friends to cover where you can't, no army is truly unstoppable, not alone anyways.

  • Man am i the only one that is disturbed about that Ai cant transport troops over water? it is stipid i can play as england and just make war on the scots becouse no other countries can touch u

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? dude i played as the english twice and each time PORTUGAL, of all countries PORTUGAL sent a full stack at one of my cities. it...was....RETARDED. seriously pissed me off cause no matter what i did everyone hated me. the AI is just ridiculous in total war games. it's rather unfortunate

  • you can transport troops over water with ships

  • basic unit combat execution ai needs to be more diverse for each individual unit as well, it's not chaotic and unpredictable enough like a real battle the way unit morale resonds to different situations is already quite impressive

  • another thing about the ai in the campaigns that should be changed is the enemy generals to use alot more various tactics based on the generals personality or vices and virtues which would also determine ways they reacted to certain situations in battle as well as initial unit deployment and alternating formations throughout battle reacting to counter your formations as well as seeking more weaknesses including during seiges.....

  • nice almost exactlly what i want of creative assembly to change thanks dude

  • Wery nice ideas sky i like them !!!

  • What I hope to see is city battles with civilians running around in the street (incliding kids etc.) It will give a lot more "evil" gameplay to say that when you can kill civilians. Or that it is possible to equip civilians, Peasant with weapons if you build an armory and such thing maybe a weapon chamber, if you upgrade that you can hold 100 maybe 1000 per lvl :P

  • lol that would be so kick ass lol

  • I think there will be dismounting in Empire.

  • i like the idea with the siege of alesia most be cool

  • That got old within 10 seconds foe me unfortunately.

  • Shogun Total War and to some extent Medieval Total War were the best of the bunch. The AI was challenging, the campaign wasn't so long that you ended up with some serious Deja Vu and their was significantly superior unit cohesion. I dislike the way Rome and MYWII focused much of its efforts on graphics, and sure, this got them extra sales, but it doesn't make for a better experience and in my opinion it hinders it.

  • Question: When I play, I like to use the up/down/left/right keys - but everytime I do so, the sound disappears, quicksaves the game, and pops out to the menu... It does same thing when I'm trying to write in the console, and when i'm in the middle of a battle... I think this is a great game, I really do, but soon I'm gonna smash it to pieces!! I never had these problems with the other games - new controls? I don't care about all fastkeys - I just wanna play the fucking game!!! So please - HELP!!

  • Forgot to say it is Medieval Total War 2 Kingdoms I'm talking about

  • And it should be a turn option before starting a campaign showing what 1 turn is worth (how long it is) Like you want a slow progress then 1 day if fast then 1 year 6 month you know :)

  • a day is rather too slow maybe a week or two per turn

  • do you know anywhere to buy medieval 2 total war in canada and should i buy it online and if so, tell me a good site (canadian)

  • forts where only temporary, also it drains all the money in your city with the most people they pay the price mostly.

  • Empire: Total War is set for Nov. 08 release, theyve stated severial new 'inovations' but mainly has only elaborated on naval warfare and game play and nother more, perhaps you can make a vid about empires and what youd like ;)

  • ok ok,

this is not the correct way to present us someting about ME2 Like this!

Im from Holland so dont mind my english plz.

If you want to make this a good video stop with the '' uhh'' and '' you know'' because we dont know. why dont you write it down and read it before us.

your points are ok i think.

  • One thing I want in medieval 2:total war is larger armies and I want a asian expanison pack you no so you can play as anything east of the border in medieval 2:total war I want more options for everything in the game you know to walk around cities and interact with people being the king or sultan or whatever

  • well dont say stupid things that only a 'child' would say

  • hey! great video,i agree with your messages adressed to CA : )

  • i watched about 30 seconds u idiot and got fed up of ur anoying voice.

  • you are aware that nobody forced you to watch this right?

  • get anger management classes please. just a friendly suggestion, so no childish insult is needed

  • dude, do u really think creative r going to see this, and even if they do, do u think they will pay any attention to you. dude u suck!

  • dude stop fighting Ai .... go online

  • The game would have to take place during 1600 to 1800's, It would have to be a global game. Run it like their doing "kingdoms" . "Colonial era the wars for the new world" ,American civil war era. "Napoleonic era lead a faction set in the times of our favorite megalomaniac".

The or Balkan war or Crimean war, Play a newly minted Balkan faction in the trio alliance Bulgaria ,Greece,Serbia. Or Play the defending Ottoman empire trying to maintain its slipping grip on Europe .

  • The great powers of Europe Spain,France,Britain,Russia ,Dutch and the Ottoman empire , Then you would have Austro/Hungarian power , Safavid and Muhghal powers in the east. The American colonies.

War and revolution will lead to formation of and return of south Eastern European nations seek to free themselves from ottoman rule and also vie for supremacy , Greece, Bulgaria,Serbia,The forging of a Danubian states into Romania.

  • lets justhope that the new game empire total war still has his same old gameplay that we all now
