fallout 3 derived from the fallout franchise which began in 1997 with Fallout 1. the fallout franchise was based off of Wasteland, Wasteland was based off of several aspects and plot settings as the Mad Max series, mad max was based off of some novel...the list goes on. regardless the post apocalyptic atmosphere is quite popular throughout the world and has been for a long time. stop saying that fallen earth copied fallout you uneducated scrubs.
@CScr1m I agree with you. Fallen Earth is LIKE The Stand, Fallout, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and certain aspects of Shadowrun all put together, and very nicely I might add. Icarus Studios really did their job in making FE it's OWN experience, and although very fun it's the ATMOSPHERE of the post-apocalypse what gets people going. It's not a Fallout clone, and I guarantee if they made an actual Fallout MMO it would blow compared to FE's diversity.
The game is good, but the community is VERY carebear. The only channels you have access to are /auction and /help as F2P. There are 100's of chat police / GM wannabes in the game at all times. You can not say anything without being told where, how, and why you weren't supposed to say that in the only chat channels available to you. The actual GM's are buddy buddy with these ass lickers, and will mute you in game at the chat polices whims. G1 needs to hire some actual customer service.

@SirRainis Not sure what kind of stone age PC you run, but FE will lag you at times yes, but it can perform. Im on a old C2D 6750, 8800 GT and 4GB DDR2 and i play the game maxed out apart from AA and AF that are both at 2x only, averaging 35 40 FPS.
The company behind it had something like a dozen people in dev, while Bethesda that made fallout 3, has more than that just on secretaries. Still i got bored with FO3, and not with FE.

I played Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, 3, NV, Borderlands and Fallen Earth. Fallout 3 and NV are only FPS if you set your skills to play that way. Borderlands is completely and quickly disinterested me and probably since Ive love mmorpgs since 96' I would have to say I adore this one, tradeskill system is in my opinion great to exellent and this game is not biting off of Fallout that much. What I mean is there is only a hint of similarity and only enough for me to see they respected it. Im addicted.
Maybe the problem here is that EVERY FPS TODAY goes for the post-apocalyptic genre, no more fantasy, or scientific, or (CoD is different but it sucks) sci-fi, or even survival in a modern non-ruined world.

People who post this is like Fall Out 3, Are morons. This game is what Fall Out meant to be, Fall Out 1 and Fall Out 2. If you actually play the game it has alot of the same feel of the first two games of the genre with out the turn based combat. Look people the idea of post apocalyptic is proberly the best gameplays i have played. So it's no strange thing that so many games are based on it. And really post apocalyptic is always about that we screwed up, and the earth is now fuckd. But god damn i love it!

People who post this is like Fall Out 3, Are morons. This game is what Fall Out meant to be, Fall Out 1 and Fall Out 2. If you actually play the game it has alot of the same feel of the first two games of the genre with out the turn based combat. Everything is pretty much center around Crafting, you salvage alot in this game to only create your own armor, weapons, medicines, mounts, etc. So. Peeps who call this a fallout 3 rip, well sorry to say peeps, You wouldn't have the brains to play this

@qwerkaz Well they actually have a point, Fallout came out in 1997 and even that was influenced by 1950s pulp magazines. Games are always influenced by other games thats how they improve, You can’t really rebuke people for saying it was stolen from fallout 3 as it bears blatant resemblance to it.
