listened to Dio ever since i was a small child, Dio was my favorite band, Ronnie was my favorite singer, and they still are, its sad that he has to go like that, RIP my friend, i wouldve done anything in my power today to see you play another show. hopefully from where you are you can see and feel what youve done for the metal generation, thank you, golden voice.

I still wish Dio had found a better bass player than... Uh... The guy in the first few albums. Umm... Bain! Jimmy Bain! He is the most boring player in the world! The guy he had in the Angry Machines album (my favourite Dio album) was awesome...

Ronnie was amazing,how could such a little guy have so much of a voice? there was a running joke on tour that the roadies would leave him a packing crate in front of his microphone to stand on.he was such an amazing guy.we will always cherish you and your voice RJD.

@4x12 / I agree with you on that one. My brother in law told me about him in 2002 when he saw Dio open up for Deep Purple. He said I saw this dude that looked a bit like Randy Rhoads from about 15 rows back who played Vivian Campbell's parts better and more fluid than Viv. Right he was!

@michaels2boys-The first time I heard of Doug was when KTD was released. The album was great and the tone was killer. When I saw them live a few months later I was pretty much front row on Dougs side. I was fucking floored. The tone, his style, the look dude I was both stunned and happier than a pig in shit. I picked up most of his stuff within the following weeks. But he fits Whitesnake like a fucking glove. I often watch the Still Of the night DVD (one of my top 3 favs) and I'm always smiling!
