I neglected to remember the time was right about night time, so I sat there. In the small house,crapping my pants because of all the noises,afraid a blood sucker would come out of no where, I waited for hours until the sun came up, I was so happy and relieved. This game is epic and I'd play it all day long if I could :3

Your friend is wrong. There's no exact limit on the amount of fps the human eye can see, but there are limitations in hardware. Most likely your computer screen is 60Hz, meaning it can only display 60 images per second, no more. That's why the 60 fps mark is so magical. However if you have a 120Hz panel, you can distinguish 60 and 120 fps easily. It's really smooth.

This video seems to be quite a lot below 20fps.

I recently bought R5770 Hawk for a pc I'm building, but I'm thinking about changing it for GTX 460 Cyclone spending bit extra. Nope, its somewhere between a expansion and a sequel, so its a standalone title. I do recommend the original STALKER if you can get it for cheap, since its the superior game of the two IMO (haven't tried Call of Pripyat yet).

i runed this game with a 9600gso and it's running slow (16:10) in highs graphics with a bit more (high-higher) :( i have a 62 x2 dual 4000+ and the recommended for the game is a 4200+ its the only thing i dont pass of the recommended :(

I used to think having more than 20K RU was impressive, but now I realize that if you scavenge all weapons you find, and sort out the decent-good condition ones (in Call of Pripyat, the ones you can sell), and sell those off, you can earn up to 15K in your first visit to the Skadovsk.

Guys with my ati 4850 and a Celeron 2.2 ghz i run the game at dx9 maximum settings with everything maxed,and i don't lag at all in the SP.

Only at multiplayer huge maps with more than 20 players i do lag.
