what a great school! awesome video - wonderful young minds who are conscience of what the Earth needs, may you always fight to educate as many people as possible! spread the love and green the Earth!
Lets not forget , that science is actualy showing that the earth is gettting better. so lets not always focus on the negative, and realize that a lot of things are going well.
Anyone would think that prior generations didn't give a hoot about the environment.
These kids will soon meet the psychopath, the corporation.
That corporations also drive government policy. The same policy that influences the crap heap they live in. You want save the world, have less kids. Yeah, the wealthy live simply?
Inspiring! Maybe these kids can help us figure out what to do with the 130 million existing homes in the U.S. and how we can make them zero carbon / zero waste.
Everybody can make a difference at any income level. It's about what each person can do. These possibilities are shared by students who made a difference and shared it in a video. We all need to think out of the box and make personal choices with what we can.
@nidepengyou6789 yes its true sidwells pretty diverse for a private school of its stature however socioeconomically its a joke. The poorest people that sidwell has are middle class and its sad b/c they do community service in areas that theyd deem underprivileged just b/c the people there were mainly minorities. 98% of the school is upper middle class but most of this percentage are even better than that while the other 2% is mainly normal middle class with a few ppl lower than that.
i'm all for spreading awareness with green building, but i doubt any of these kids grew up in poverty, so they have the luxury to care about the environment. we need to make green building less exorbitant so the poor can afford to save money and live more sustainably
lets face it GENERATION G is F*cked. Me and a lot of my friends are choosing not to have kids. Its almost a sin to bring kids into this messed up world. The government has taken away many of our rights and have a stranglehold on the people. Our country and many others are in so much debt the private bankers will soon own the world. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE ENVIORNMENTAL PROBLEMS GOING ON. open your eyes people.
it's inspire me.... i love it(:

Yes we do. We have a new curriculum that requires us to learn all about environmental stewardship. Did you go there like 3 years ago or something?

I know right?!? Did you know that about 20% percent of the students population actually receives financial aid?
even the tiniest details will help, like a single CFL lightbulb; I convinced my mom to buy one! hehe
I do hope we can all help save our earth, cuz there's only one out there

How would you know? Sidwell is one of the most diverse private schools, socioeconomically and racially, in the whole of the DC metropolitan area

40 years ago a high school education was GREAT. nowadays a college education is hardly enough.
40 years from now the planet will be doomed either by enviornmental stress or government domination of the people.

So would you rather do nothing? I mean, if you think we're truly fucked, it's better for us to be less so than more.
