As a question: wouldn't be a violation of the Logan Act if we had no relationship with Iraq? Do we not have a diplomatic arrangement with them? We do after all occupy the country. The Logan act would apply if Obama were to make arrangements or agreements with say Iran on behalf of America on any political issues. Since we placed the the persons in power in Iraq we have diplomatic relations and approval from the senate to interact.
