So true! The Republic party should forever remain in the minority. They can't govern because they don't believe in government. They have brought us to the brink of destruction & care nothing about "we the people." They stink on all levels & are disgraceful to our once-proud nation. I am embarrassed for those who still hang on to that dead ideology. It would actually be comical if people weren't dying all over the world because of their greed, lies & failed policies.
This guy has been in Congress for 42 years! If you want to get to the bottom of corruption in government, corporate largess and greed, start looking at the fixtures of our political culture. People who have been in the house or senate for over 20 years have had more than enough exposure to the 'so-called' influence of power and money and felt its effects. To claim one side or another is more guity is simply denying reality. Of course, for liberals this is the natural state of being.
People want answers. This is what these hearings are about. Blame the people of Michigan for Conyers, not Conyers. He's just doing his job and taking his turn to speak.
You may disagree with John Conyers' politics, but his integrity remains intact. He is one of the few on capital hill to vote against authorizing the president to wage war in Iraq. He has defended the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, even when doing so was not popular. John Conyers won more than 85% of the vote in the last election. He has always polled high. That just doesn't happen, unless there is something consistently right about the candidate.
This fossil has been in Congress for 42 years. If you want to talk about the culture of corruption, just start examining the players who have been there the longest and have survived both democrat and republican administrations.
That has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Don't investigate crimes, investigate congressmen based on how long they have served our country. Why can't you just admit that the Republican Party is corrupt and they need to be reeled in. Especially the Criminal in Chief.
