Seriously, after I saw this scene I said "Good riddance, bitch!!!" Rachel really did lead Bruce on and kind of play both guys at the same time. She tells Bruce in person that she's going to keep her promise and be with him and then addressed him the truth....on a fucking letter!? She didn't even have the guts to tell him the truth in person. I was glad to see the bitch explode!!!

I understand Rachel, NOT THE WAY THAT SHE CHOOSE TO TELL BRUCE HER DECISION. Tell me, you can live with a man who everyday will put his life at risk? How can you live knowing that you can die in matter of seconds? You and anybody can live with this kind of problems! Only imagine the desesperation of seeing your loved ones dying! With that fear Batman and all of his loved ones had to live.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain ." So now batman tells Groudon he is a criminal (being a vigilante is against the law) and must be treated as one. So bye bye batman signal

Call me cold, but Rachel's death didn't bother me at all. I thought she was kind of self-righteous and a fair- weather friend to Bruce.

He shows her that the idiot playboy routine is just an act, that he's something more, and she more or less turns her back on her back on Bruce.

Harvey Dent's downfall and the movie's ending was far more sad and emotionally effecting than RachIel's death IMO.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that. I'm a girl; I'm supposed to be all over the tragic romance thing. In the end, I only felt sorry for Bruce and Harvey. They're the ones who are truly tragic.

Hmm. This 'romance ends with woman screwing guy over' theme seems to be reappearing in Nolan's work. You see it in Inception, anyways. And while you could argue that the protagonist in Inception, unlike Bruce Wayne, lives happily ever after.....does he?

It wasn't so much guilt for Rachel, Harvey really had no guilt.

He had hidden demons in him.

He was dillusional, and the physical trauma caused him to become mentally insane. That shit is realistic, people who become physically disfigured in the face know that they are going to be judged and looked at differently.

Some people care so much about their facial appearance and build up this idea that it is their only way to be happy. Believe me, it's more about psychology than anything.
