1:51 lol before it zooms out it you cant see the white parts of the basketballshirt, it looks like karl is wairing a ballerine costume. I was like "WHAT ?? carl sagan did ballet ? lolololololol.......... oh"
hahaha the way the talk about how carl sagan was born its like the story of baby jesus in the crib and the tree wise men. "in a small part of the cosmos.... they named him.... carl sagan"
In my opinion he had the posture and or attitude of an engineer or an architect, but it seems like he was more interested in the universe as a whole or the entirety of it ...and not just not the building structures and or monuments that we see around us.
@Vildasnaga Yeah, this area clearly seems to be Carl Sagan's one big flaw. He was one of the great intellectual minds of the mid and late 20th century, an amazingly enlightened and forward thinking person. But the guy could also be a regular on Dr. Phil or any number of trash day time talk shows about cheating/unfaithful husbands and absent fathers. He'd get booed by a chorus of women for his boorish behavior. He had an amazing mind, but he seemed like a terrible husband and mediocre father.
"There is today-in a time when old beliefs are withering-a kind of philosophical hunger, a need to know who we are and how we got here. It is an on-going search, often unconscious, for a cosmic perspective for humanity."
"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known."
Carl Sagan once wrote "We are a common organism, on the outer most shell of an ordinary planet, for nothing more than a few trips around the local star."
Each trip around our local star, now seems more desperate, more meandering, less understood. It was your voice, you words that made many trips fascinating, interesting and understood. I will miss your voice and your words on every trip -- around the local star!
And, of course, the biography of the man with the greatest voice of reason in modern history has a grand total of 9 comments, including this one; compared with, say, the trillion or so comments that the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny recieved.
i have that kind of thing with 11:11, I see it so often and it bothers me because it's symmetrical o_O but it's just because you notice it more that you think it's weird.
that happens to me lot too! mostly its 3:33 or 4:44,or 1:11 always 3 same numbers on the clock or my stereo, its weird, it still happens. i wondeer why?
We're programmed, it seems, to look for patterns, sequences, symmetry, etc. The greatest ones were 12:34:56 on 7/8/90 and 01:23:45 on 6/7/89. Carl, you are deeply and truly missed.

He had it together. He knew what he wanted to do.
i wish I'd stayed in school to become an astronomer or physicist.
If I only had it to do over to do again. Then, out of the many millions and millions
of hours. . . . oh sorry .

Why aren't there more biographies of the worthy? Paris Hilton's life is better documented than this man's. Fucking disgrace.

Well, no man is perfect, and Sagan didnt seem to be the best husband/father.
Still, his contributions to mankind will be forever valued. RIP Sagan, wherever you are.
