Sorry I'm new to tuning, I've noticed in a lot of videos that the "check engine light" is always on when you supercharge a car, is this avoidable or is that just the way it is? How can you know when something has actually gone wrong?

@canowyrms the 2.4s dont come with superchargers stock, this guy had to grab the supercharger and all supporting mods off a SS cobalt

Hey. Did you take all the supporting supercharger parts from the 2.0ss/sc? They fit correctly? And what about the fuel injectors? Did they come from the 2.0 stage 2 kit? I have a 2006 2.4 SS and I want to do exactly the same thing. Plus mine's automatic

@Monsterenergy8771 *sigh facepalm* What you want to be asking is what kit produces the most hp efficiently and what are my power goals? Based on your comment I'd guess you have extremely limited knowledge on cars, but I'll let someone else give you shit about it, therefore I'd recommend getting a kit. IMO the best supercharger kit is by ZZPerformance They also make a turbo kit.

@Trent1080 Just a little. Just made the shift pressure higher so when it shifts it has enough power to actually get in the next gear because of the extra hp

Just take the stock supercharger, intake manifold, intake, idler pulley, heat exchanger, intercooler pump off of the supercharged cobalts. Get some bigger injectors and some other misc stuff

@dclower06 zzp performance sells a sc kit the the 2.4 cobalt/g5 for 2100 or 2200. it is a straight up bolt on kit. you go from 146 whp to 230 whp stage 1. stage two you are pushing more hp. or you can put a kit together for around 1500. but i will be getting stage 2 for my g5 gt

I spent about 1600 dollars buying the parts used. I love it a lot, the whine is awesome, and it pulls pretty hard. I haven't had it dyno'd, but you can expect between 240whp-260whp.

1600 for everything needed to sc it. I got most of the parts used from the 2.0 sc cobalts

@zmadman210 I have a buddy that dyno'd his 2.4 ss/sc and he put down 253whp with the same setup I have. So typically a sc 2.4 cobalt will put anywhere between 240-260. It's been a while since I've gone WOT because of a leaking fuel pump, but I remember it peaking at 11.8 with 12psi. I'm running the stage 2 injectors which are 42.5#

Yeah it's auto. The pressure in the shifting lines need to be bumped up a bit till where it actually chirps the tires.
