Awesome video although it kinda ends a bit anticlimatic.

Flawed but fun corny movie. It had a decent script by the writer of Saving Private Ryan but the director/producers of films like Independence Day & Day After Tomorrow made it too Hollywoodish.

Still a fun watch but not Gibson's best

There was one officer in the movie who thanked Mel Gibson for treating British POW's. The officer was then shocked and horrified when Colonel Tavington, the main antagonist, ordered him to execute the American POW's and burn down Mel Gibson's house, he followed his orders, but before leaving he glanced at Mel Gibson's traumatized children sadly. He unfortunately got killed by one of those children later in the film.

The point is, the film showed at least one good redcoat.

"Gallipoli", some shitty 70s WW1 movie has Gibson as as an Australian soldier at the battle of Gallipoli, and the film constantly, and i mean fucking constantly, takes big swings at Britain. There's a bit where the Aussies are getting ripped to shit and he says that the British soldiers are "relaxing on the beachhead sipping tea" rather than helping them.

Puts the fear of god in your opponents and makes them think twice before an attack. We used ours in the war of independance to no effect :P. And before yanks say your awesome.
