Really? The person I got this clip from said her Riverside performance on Reverb was done for David Bowie's birthday. Guess I'll double-check that, thanks.
You can tell the lady on the piano did the intro to the song twice, Bjork looks a bit confused by it! Still a wonderful performance, would've loved to have been at this gig.
the lady played too fast at the beggining bjork open her mouth to start singin but the lady cut her off and kept playing the piano but it is still beautiful like always
Aaaargh! It was sending shivers up my spine, then it suddenly stops. Right, that's it - I'm going to dive into the sea, swim down into the depths and seek out those last few notes.
there are several time signatures along with a bit of rubato which gives it a non-metrical feeling. It's a bit like recitative... you can view the manuscript on her website.
zeena parkins... the woman playing the organ... experimental harpist that bjork got to play the harp for Vespertine and her Vespertine and Greatest Hits tours
Nah not at all.... Its nothing to do with the Organist, lol - that organ is just a peice of shit and 'Zina Perkins' is struggling only because of that......
(0:21) lol, bjork is like "u doing it wrong"

I really don't like this version, because of the organist. She seems to be bugging bjork.

Umm - This is actually from a gig at Riverside Church in New York - filmed for HBO Reverb in 2001 - not David Bowie's B-day.

This is why I love Björk so much... she sounds just as good, if not better, live as she does on her CDs! Beautiful song....

Does anyone have any idea what time signature this song is in, or is it just randomly pieced together?

strange. bjork looks a bit disappointed with the organist in the beginning. and the organist looks pained. distracting.
still, bjork's a goddess, pure and simple.
