  • with a 4.17 first gear doesn't the 4.10 gears kinda make 1st useless? i know 3.73s with a 3.06 first in a 700r4/4l60e was more than enough gear.

  • FUCKIN JUMPERRRRRR LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Very impressive!

  • nice. its like a 350z with 4.10 gears. lol

  • ummmm...for all you uneducated faggots out there, AUTOs post consistent faster times than manuals, i mean look at the new Mustang or CTS-v, the autos for the V post a full .3 sec faster in the quarter mile....bitch all yo want, an auto will shift faster than a manual could ever hope to. The new benze E AMG shifts in .1sec!!! thats fucking insane!!! a pro on a manual can shift maybe .5sec from the time up release the clutch til your fully back into it....wake up ppl!

  • @GTO19020 sad to report that manufacturers sell more automatics so that's where 98% of their budget goes; to updating their auto trannies. It's quite sad.

  • @RT360ci it is sad =( Autos do get wayyyyy more of a budget, but you have to acknowledge that even though a manual is more fun, a double clutch auto computer controlled can shift faster than any human. Not saying im happy about the way things are, but i can acknowledge that the Autos of this day and age are faster.

  • @GTO19020 I concur. However very few dual clutch autos allow for full manual control. A lot of them will downshift at 500rpm before hitting redline, or will revert to regular auto mode after certain amount of time has elapsed making it harder to hold gears as the PCM is programmed for fuel economy. Eorupeans own the market for dual trannies but there is still a lot more calibration to be done. Manual tranny is also less maintenance down the road too.

  • @RT360ci agreed....my statement was just in todays day and age if you want every last drop of performance, than an AUTO is the way to go(and ppl need to abandon that 80s and 90s way of thinking were te AUTOs were garbage)...and yeah, agree to the maintenance issue as well .

  • @GTO19020 Yes, it's rather sad. I spec'd out a new Camaro SS (base) with the manual and you get better ratio offerings with a super tall OD (1500rpm @ 60mph) versus the auto which bumps it up a bit but you can't take off as fast. Even with the auto (I refuse to pay more for a transmission...) you can take off faster with less wheel spin and allows for a second gear start in slippery conditions too which is a plus.

  • @jonjund You the man keep it up, 12 sec will come very soon in your n/a v6...

@ all who do not know the fastest race cars are ahhh.... AUTO, its about big money folks auto do not miss shifts and auto trans can be beefed up tougher than a stick, I drive both but have been liking the programing for auto for the stangs they run hard.

  • Nice job Jon. As an employee of FOMOCO and Mustang freak you made me proud!......LOL

  • nice run! who needs a 5.0?

  • Nice auto 2011 V-6 Stang with some excellent choices in modifications. Quick too!

  • @jonjund did you have to get a new rear pinion bearing for your gear install american muscle said i needed one for my 11' v6 gear swap

  • Nice run and milanosrv is a complete retard.

  • Milanosrv, you sound like a fucking moron you retard.you are probably a young faggot that knows shit about cars.the car with the turbo is the fox body and since from the way your talking you don't know what a fox body is,it's the car in the opposite lane and yes it has a turbo.even if it was his brakes and he was beating the shit out of the car what do you care?number 1 it's his car and

Number 2 he's at the Drag strip u retard the brakes are probably taking the least abuse on those runs lol lear

  • Comment removed

  • @milanosrv lol...you, obviously, have no clue. First of all, explain WHY wrecking of brakes will happen, second of all, don't make blanket comments assuming I can't drive because this car is an automatic. Again, you obviously, have no clue.

  • Comment removed

  • @milanosrv That is the fox body, DUDE. It's called a 2 step, for building boost for the turbo that is on it. Where in the world did you get that it was the brakes..on either car for that matter? Once again, Obviously, you have no clue. Also, I don't need to act, I know I can drive. I have driven that Fox Body in the video to a best of a 10.5 at 136 - it has a TKO600 (manual) in it. Still has more left in it too - easy low 10 to high 9 second car with some more suspension tweaks.

  • Comment removed

  • @milanosrv The one in the opposite lane of the V6 has a turbo on it - aka the Fox Body. The V6 is N/A.

  • @jonjund

Hey man, I love your car! Don't pay any attention to those morons saying you can't drive b/c your car is an auto. I almost always drive a stick and I never bash on someone for driving an auto. That's just childish and really stupid to tell you the truth. There could be a million reasons why you chose the auto. It's nobody's business. Hell, every other car I buy is an automatic because I just simply get tired of driving a stick in traffic year after year. I like to switch it up.

  • @jonjund i think you need to quit explaining to the kid who knows nothing for cars. LOL at him thinking a 2011 is a foxbody.

  • @jonjund No point in arguing. He's obviously braindead and drives an Accent.

  • @jonjund Don't feed the troll - if he's too dumb to know what a foxbody is then let him wallow in his own ignorance.

  • @milanosrv You are an idiot.

  • @milanosrv Dude your retarded. Jon jund here is Actually John Lund. An insane tuner for stangs. He knows how to drive. And is possibly gunna be the first 3.7 N/A mustang in the 12's. And if I remember right he made his name on Fox body mustang's so do youself a favor and shut the hell up. And learn some respect.

  • @milanosrv You're an idiot.

  • @milanosrv lol internet expert doesn't know what a fox body is, way to act like a pro then get pwnd. go back to call of duty.

  • @milanosrv im not going to get into a youtube fight here but in johns defence dont hate on him at all or his drivingm he has more expierience with cars and the mustang community that all of us combines, and i am sure he can drive a manual equipped car very well. and about 90% of the cars running the 1/4 mile are automatic because of the consistancy and the ability to tune and ajust to your upgrades and likes. there is nothing wrong with buying a sports car or mustang in automatic trim

  • @milanosrv you're an idiot

  • @milanosrv wow milanosv, you're an idiot, you have no idea what you're talking about

  • @milanosrv LOL stupid troll

  • What is that awful sounds between 0:36 and 0:39?

  • @BL00D4NG31 Foxbody was backfiring.

  • hey Jon great job with your car the runs are amazing compared to some others i have scene at atco and such, just curious about which catback you have?

  • @biffnacid Magnaflow

  • pretty sad the new v6s are so bad ass stock for stock vs the older stangs!

  • Very nice - your mph indicates that mid-12 are just a better launch away!

  • do you think i could hit that with headers, borla cat backs, CAI, Bama tune, in a manual 3.7l with short throw shifter? because im looking at either a premium 3.7l or base 5.0 but i like the mpg and insurance rates on the 3.7l more

  • @n9athan im pretty sure man , borla said t hey got 46 hp out of the stang with longtubes and full exhaust.

  • @BLACKSHEEPc10 damn, I want some headers but I can't find any reviews but I guess ill just take a risk, procharger came out with a sc that puts out 475hp and keeps the same mpg if you drive normally

  • Good job. Although this is quite depressing for us NA foxbody guys lol.

  • mad props thats a killer v6 stang i new them new ones with few mods would run down older gts all day

  • I think that with the stock heads ported and polished and bigger cams, it will be able to see low 12's or 11's while remaining NA. That's what I'd do.

  • procharger kit comes out soon this should make the old v6 turn easy 11s no problem

  • all we need are turbo kits some forged interns and we got a 12 flat v6 pony.....that should mess with some minds hehe

  • @praetorian2150 It will run an 11 with some slicks, skinnies, and 10-12 psi of boost. I think it will handle that just fine.

  • Nice run. I think 10-12 PSI will put you closer to 10s on this motor from what I've seen. 8 PSI and DRs should be enough to get kicked off a track for no cage. I'm running a single T3/TO4E on my 06 4.0 and at 386/460 I've hit 12.1 @ 114 with a 1.88 (crappy) 60 foot on 13 PSI. With a better 60 I'd be in the mid 11s. Starting out with a much better base like the 3.7 and putting 12 PSI into it could result in 10.9s on pump gas. As for forged pistons & rods, it would be nice, but may not be needed.

  • @praetorian2150 the buick grand nationals were easly capable of 11's , i think this mustang v6 should be there with more grace thank the gn ;)

  • @praetorian2150 What are you talking about.. this thing is already messing with my head! I knew these 2011 V6s would run good with these mods.

  • what rpm and gear are you finishing at 3.73's could help your time i saw a gt switch from 4'10s to 3.55s and he saw better times

  • @herberv Was the GT an auto or stick?

And I don't remember what RPM exactly. I think it was around 5 grand in 4th gear. I think 4.30s would actually net a 12, but the car would probably need drag radials to compensate for the short 1st gear and blowing the street tires off. This thing is shifting at about 7 grand also, so 4th gear has a good ways to go for the power band.

  • @jonjund gt was auto. I guess since the v6 does not have the tq of the 5.0 the 4.30 would help alot. With the 4.10s what rpm do you turn in 6th at 70 on the highway?

  • @herberv I don't really pay attention too much to that lol, but I think it was about 2500?

  • I can't wait untill a tuner shop twin turbo's one of these new V6's....it reminds me of the original 5.0 fox's except they are being out performed by the new V6!!

  • Very impressive! With an e.t. and trap speed like that, you're guaranteed to piss off older Mustang GT's ; ) Maybe with a few more mods, you'll be in SVT Cobra territory while remaining NA.

  • awsome! thanks ford. you say you swaped converters?

  • @BLACKLACDTS yes, Circle D has them

  • @jonjund yea i just bought a circle d converter for my trailblazer ss. how much did the converter help drop 1/4 times?

  • @jonjund also what size stall ?

  • impresssssssssive!!!!!!!!! cant wait to get mine

  • good old cecil county

  • @toofastforyou02 you a maryland boy?

  • Lastly, care to share what kind of power you are making?

  • @yonkersracing Don't know yet, haven't dynoed it with all the mods.

  • Hello, I was just curious. On some of these videos you posted on the same day, you are trapping 103mph, in others you are trapping as high as 107mph. Were these runs from different days w/ different mods or was the track that much faster on one side than another. Basically, I am just curious how you were picking up 4mph on your trap speed w/o being able to modify boost or nitrous. Regardless, great times for a V6, I bet you catch a lot of people off guard.

  • @yonkersracing They were different days and two different tracks. The 103 (almost 104) traps were at a track that has been notorious for lower trap speeds than other tracks while maintaining a similar E.T.

The difference between this run and those quicker E.T. runs was a converter - that was it. If it was running at the original track - it would have still been trapping 107-108.

  • @jonjund cool, well I'm interested in seeing how much power you put down...post it up if you dyno anytime soon, again props on the quick v6

  • As a 2010 Camaro V6/RS owner I have to give you props man. That is sweet! If only GM would give us more gearing options like that. Fastest V6 we've seen on the Camaro5 forums with similar mods as you have (except gearing) is about 13.79. I for one am more interested in seeing what these V6ers can do without using forced induction, so keep it up man.

  • That's a damn good time for an auto! Basically you're running the same as an automatic 07-08 350Z with the HR motor + bolts ons and gears.

  • @thewiseyoda RPM for what?

  • very impressive for the minimal mods. 107 mph trap speed is movin!!

  • @angls50 It was almost 108 :-)

  • I saw on a couple other videos you had drag radials. Just curious why you didn't have them this run...

  • @need4mospd This was the first run of the day - rolled right in after driving for about an hour down to the track.

We put them on AFTER to see if it would get faster, unfortunately because of the shorter tire it slowed down - 19" versus 18" (short sidewall)

  • Absolutely AWESOME!

I love my 2011 V6. How is the day to day driving with the 4.10's and the 6 speed auto? It is too much gear for highway driving?

  • @TheSoutherntwang When I drove to the track, I was doing about 75 and it cruised nicely. The 6th gear really helps with the 4.10s. I think a higher gear ratio may pose some issues, but it would definitely run quicker!

  • @jonjund Thanks for the feedback. I've been debating on 4.10's versus 3.73's and you just sold me!

  • @jonjund what rpm?

  • @thewiseyoda when you mentioned cruising at 75, i was wondering the rpm engine is at..

  • What did the entire slip read? 60' 1/8th et and mph?

  • @JTsStang I gotta find the slip to get the 1/8th and mph, but the 60' was a 2.02 I believe.

With a 1.9 it should run a 12.9. That 1/4 mph was almost 108 - good for mid 12s with some good launch times.

I'll post the slip times up when I get my hands on it.

  • @jonjund Alright. If you do happen to find it I would be interested in the 1/8th mph and et. I'm gonna guess 8.5 @ 82mph?

  • @JTsStang Slip is up top in the description. You were close ;-)

  • manuel or auto? nice car dude

  • @mustangfan00 stock automatic 6-speed

  • Awesome run. Post your times on dragtimes I pull in their RSS feed on my web site. We need all the V6 representation we can get. And yes ProCharger is in development of the V6 Mustang kit. Soon!

  • Excellent run man. have you thought about exhaust and aluminum drive shaft? I saw borla now has an x pipe for the v6 and shaft masters makes the drive shaft. Cuts of 10 lbs of rotating mass. These mods might get you in the 12's. Whats mods do yo have already im trying to find out what mods are working so i can add em to mine. Sts turbo as well as procharger ar coming up with some forced induction systems here early 2011.

  • @klaubaugh89 It has an exhaust on it, just a catback - I believe it is Magnaflow. The drive shaft is coming :-)

Current mods are tune, airkit, exhaust (stock wasn't too restrictive), 4.10 gears.

On the tune, airkit, and exhaust alone - it ran 13.9 with 3.27 gears.

The motor has an easy 12 in it, just need the supporting mods!

  • what do you have done on your stang?

  • @papinati305 tune, airkit, exhaust, 4.10 gears

  • Wow, very nice times! These new sixxers sure aren't something to sleep on.

  • Get a converter in it! Circle D Specialties has already done converters for these new transmissions.

  • @Ltngdrvr That's exactly the next mod and where it's coming from :-)

  • Car has Catback exhaust, airkit, and 4.10 gears. It is an Automatic too.

And those are street tires on 19in rims. Rolled in right after driving to the track, no cool down, and ran it.

  • @jonjund absolute beast. I wonder how much the times would be affected with a turbo in there.

  • @thewiseyoda A power adder of some kind will push another 100+ HP easy through the motor. With a twin turbo kit, or even a centrifugal blower kit, it has an easy 11 in it.

The problem with this car, since it is an auto, is the converter. I can only get it to stall to about 2200-2300. For it to launch good with the power it has now, I need another 1000 RPM or more, which will net a 12 if I can get the sixty foots below 2.0. With more HP, it will be easy to stall up because of boost. We will see

  • @jonjund are you running on 93 octane? But still, i am very intrigued by the times not only because 13.17 is a damn good time for a mustang v6 with no forced induction but also the fact that you have been the only one so far actively pursuing faster times with the new 3.7l motor.

major props. definitely keeping a close eye and can't wait to see how this car improves over time

  • @thewiseyoda Yup, 93 octane. thanks!

  • dang! thats sick! any other mods besides the drag radials and tune?

  • Don't hate on the V6, it can keep up with the challenger RT with minor bolt-ons.

  • that is just too cool. v6 ftw
