I love how O'Donnell records and loops the explosive bassline and then takes an extended synth solo, layering that line with a harmonic counterpoint. Roger O'Donnell (and Thomas Dolby also) have created amazing "second careers" using the MAC, interfaced with analog synthesizers, updating their technique without losing the organic quality of sound that makes lasting good music.

Okay, there were some good moments on his album ("Treasure" is great song), and I love Roger and I think he's a very talented person, but this is really hard to watch. Maybe if he didn't look so pissed off with that "I really don't wanna be here right now" face it wouldn't be so bad.
