How old is your hedgie? Mine is 2months old, only got him about a week ago. He still huffs and puffs at me. Can't wait for him to open up and be comfortable with me :)
how do you get your hedgeog so comfortable to being around humans? mine is not usually very active and he is always scared so plz if you have any advice plz tell me. thanks and your hedgie is so cute!
@fh492 Hedgehogs have different personalities (like people!), so your hedgehog may not ever be very comfortable around people. That said, there are some things you can do to help: 1. forced socialization. Make your hedgie sit with you in a blanket every day for 30 minutes while you watch TV or whatever. 2. Make sure his cage is in a quiet place and he has somewhere to hide, so he's not overstimulated. Also make sure he has a wheel so he doesn't get too lazy. 3. Bribe him with food!
do they allow them as pets in America then? they are in the wild over here. We help them out sometimes if we see them walking along the road & put them in our garden :)
@King31a1 Actually, I live in South Korea! ^^ But as far as the laws in the States, it depends on the state you're from. I know they were illegal in Georgia for a while, but now they're legal as pets but not to buy or sell (so you have to get them in another state and transport them back). Generally, anywhere they're indigenous there's a higher chance they're illegal.
