Mostly old alternative, goth rock and new wave...The Cure, Joy Division, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Smiths, Morrissey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, The Damned. I grew up listening to classic metal like Ozzy, Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth etc. and some newer metal like White Zombie/ Rob Zombie. I'm also into alot of old punk music The Clash, The Ramones, The Adicts, etc. And David Bowie is my idol.

@effu68 lol, its a stereotype. i think youtube kind of helped push that stereotype since most album review videos shot by people are in the same location, with the same background and everything. its a hot-button, easy comment for trolls and people pissed about a different opinion use to try to get a rise out of the common metalhead. look at the 80's, for example. sure, they hung out in basements, but it was to get high, drunk, and play shows for rabid, insane fans (see also: punk shows)
