  • Fine business on the QSO Burt.

  • BURT!!!!!! you violated your own rules (mine too), on 1:00 you tell George "We are in Massachusetts" who in the world are we?

  • @Evolvedprimate You are not the first one to catch that stupidity

  • @burt2481 Hmm, I thought you said that ham radio is worthless, full of FAT, stupid people who love to massage their egos in 'contests' - not exchanging any relevant information - RIGHT, BURT?

You are the definition of a hypocrite. remove your videos of happy experiences on ham radio and leave only your lame slanderous comments. Stick to one side! And please, get the hell off the air and the web.

Do the real hams a favor!

  • @GilaTomster: What you say shows a huge lack of knowledge. To say that people are "dirt poor that often die of starvation and disease, just like Iraq" is complete nonsense, Romania was never better off. There are poor and rich just like everywhere in the free world. I am Romanian, average person and I do well and so does most of the people I know. To put Romania aside Irak....my God. This is European Community. You should go research and learn...

  • Awesome contact Burt. I am proud you made that contact and treated him with the utmost respect as it should be on amteur radio. You got to be a part of history, not many folks can say that.

  • Some hams remember thier first QSO, but dont remember thier loved ones birthdays, LOL.

  • Amazing you recorded it Burt - I myself remember just a few months before the Wall came down thinking it wont happen for another 50 years...and then it did.

  • @GilaTomster During the course of the revolution, the western press published estimates of the number of people killed by the Securitate in attempting to support Ceauşescu and quash the rebellion. The count increased rapidly until an estimated 64,000 fatalities were widely reported across front pages.

  • Amazing. I will never forget the revolutions of 1989 sweeping across Eastern Europe. I did not have my ham ticket then, but I wish I had. What a piece of history this recording is. 73 from NF6Q

  • Do you remember your first ever QSO you ever made as a new ham?

  • @TheZeke1974 NO

  • @burt2481 "Then there is this lowest form of ham radio operator - called contesters. These are hams who get on the air and see how many hams they can work in a short period of time. They don't exchange any useful information, they don't say their say their name, they don't say their location, they don't say anything about their family." -K1OIK

  • @utubeaccess7 Thank you for repeadedly quoting wisdom.

  • @HerbBeamish Me thinks you protest too much re: wimp, you are what you accuse me of as demonstrated by the fact you are wholly anonymous.

  • That kind of contact makes all of the BS from nets, contestors, and drunk nazis worth enduring. Lets's have a contest for the collest qso. I would nominate that one for the grand prize. N8TB
