@sillyegoose try resetting your router by unplugging all of the ethernet cables from it and then unplugging it from the power source and let it sit for 60 seconds and then plug in the ethernet cable from your modem, the power, and any other ethernet cable you have, in that order

1. go to network and sharing center/(manage network connections

2. right click your wireless connection

3. after you right click it.. go to properties (it will ask for permission)

4. it will be 2 tabs "networking" and "sharing"

5. go to the "sharing" tabnd make sure the box that says "Allow other users to connect through this computers internet connection"!!!

6. MOST IMPORTANT STEP! there should also be a "settings" box in the sharing tab. CLICK IT!!

@cole3982 yes less security, Nat is often used as a firewall option, if you put your device on the DMZ you don't have to forward any ports, all ports for the device are opened

@ShadowSpeedy7 That is true but putting it on DMZ is MUCH less secure than just opening a few ports. Putting the device on the DMZ opens ALL ports, exposing it to anyone who looks, where as opening just a few ports you still have most of the protection; just a few ports are open to the internet.
