consider the alternative if it was Isaac then Isaac was 13 and Ishmael was 27,Abraham was 113 and Sarah was 103.the promise land is belong to Arabs till today did God had false promise to Isaac which has not been fulfilled. the promise to give Isaac all the land of Canaan. The Arabs the decedent of Ishmael, have occupied Canaan from that day to this.
God says "Take now your son your only son, Isaac ."(Genesis 22:2).God says "you have not withheld your son your only son from me."(Genesis 22:12)
Did God made a mistake did God not know that Abraham had two sons: Ishmael and Isaac.
Obviously God did not make a mistake. What really happened was that Isaac was not born yet. Ishmael, at age 13 was Abraham's only son. Isaac was born one year later. It is logically obvious that Ishmael and not Isaac who was to be sacrificed
Through the book of Genesis, God promises Abraham that his descendent will be of great multitude in (Genesis 12:2.)God says that the descendants of Abraham shall as numerous as the dust of the Earth. Isaac was 14 years younger than Ishmael if you will do the math when you read the Bible you will found it there When Abraham took his son to be sacrificed that son was 13.God several time refers to Abraham's son as his "only son
This story related in Qur'an describes Ishmael as in infant, too young to walk. Isaac was born to Sarah when she was 90 and Abraham 100 (Genesis 21:5) and the story of Abraham taking his son to be sacrificed is in the Bible in (Genesis 22:2-12.)All sides are agree that Isaac and Ishmael were brothers and Ishmael is father of Arabs and Isaac is Father of Jews. Clearly the Arabs outnumber the Jews there more than 100 million Arabs in the world and less than 10 million Jews.
Sarah twice drove Hagar away once before the child was born, (Genisis16:4-12), and once after (Genesis 21:9-20) Bible does not not present events in chronological order. The story of driving Hagar and Ishmael comes after stories of Ishmael as a teenager. Yet it is clear that Ishmael was an infant when Sarah drove them out (Genesis 21:15-18).
The Bible and Torah say that he took his younger son, Isaac; Qur'an says that he took his son, Ishmael, to be sacrificed. In Genesis (11:27) it says that "Abraham did not arrived to Canaan until he was 75 years old." and then in (Genesis 16:3) it say Hagar(mother of Ishmael)became pregnant with Abraham's child when Abraham was 85 years old.
almost all the stories of the book of Genesis are recounted in the Qur'an. The differences between them are small yet these small differences form the major gap, which separates these religions. The biggest gulf between the Bible, the Torah and the Qur'an comes in the story of Abraham when he took his son to be sacrificed.
Yes, the human brain can find patterns in anything. I could find mathematical miracles in the words of a monkey typing on a typewriter if I chose to do so. Use your energies to make the world a better place instead of trying to prove your book of fairytales to be true.
