хмм, я смотрел бушидо, но более старые бои. Этого Вадера я не видел. Может кто-то сказать сколько у него побед-поражений было и над кем. Хотя бы самых сильных противников, не надо всех.
I could see Jack Swagger wrestle Vader in a submission matchup. The All American American is a 2 time World Champion and has beaten Big Show. He could do the same on Vader.
Бой настоящий, просто тот здоровый дядька пришел с американского реслинга (спектаколь) и просто выделываеться по превычке, а бедные японцы ничего с ним сделать не могут.
@TheForgottenFlesh yup Paul is a tough mofo any way. No shame of losing a fight to a tough brethen like Paul. That like being ashame to losing a fight to Superman.
the Vader [Leon White] I know woulda destroyed that guy in no time flat! all he would have to do is get his meaty hands on the guy and it would be over before it even started! WOOF!!!!
The use of Vader in UWFi completely ruined the shoot aspect of it all and I think turned a lot of people off the product. He uses chokeslams and fireman carry drops and powerbombs for christ sake. Albright on the otherhand used legitimate suplexes that at least come from amateur style wrestling, not semi-worked moves orginating from pro-wrestling.
Not so sure about that... the fans seemed pretty into Vader and also the UWFi was at it's peak financially during his stay with the promotion, with sellout crowds everywhere. His matches may have been less of a shoot as far as moves used but were no less brutal.
This is a worked shoot fight where the moves are for the most part real but the outcome is still fixed. I doubt Vader would be very successful in MMA, especially nowadays since he seems to be in pretty rough shape. In his prime, maybe because he does have boxing experience and could work on other skills.
At this time, the only MMA organization in Japan was Pancrase. Seeing Vader fight Bas Rutten or Masakatsu Funaki would have been a sight to see, but I doubt the big man could have beaten either.
@Dynaman21 I think Pancrase was worked as well to be honest.. it was stiffer and more realistic than UWFi but still a lot of fights looked predetermined.
@JPThunder01 A few were admitted to be works for some reasons (one particular story has Ken Shamrock and an injured Matt Hume working a match when Hume got injured a bit too close to showtime) but Bas Rutten's gone on record claiming he's never worked a fight. And well...I don't think Bas is a liar.

against Takada - 1 win, 2 losses. One win against Albright (and a defeat in a couples match), wins against everyone else

Bischoff is a dumbass since he couldn't wait to get rid of Vader.

This is why I don't believe that bullshit that Paul Ordorff took out Vader in one punch. What a load of crap, look at Vader, he would kill anyone.
TheForgottenFlesh 2 years ago 3
Didn't it take like 10 dogs and 7 police officers just to arrest a drunk Vader one time? lol
JPThunder01 2 years ago
I'm not sure but I would believe it.
Recently though, apparently Vader admited Ordorff beat him up and laughed it off.
Regardless Vader still pawns.

@Bloodsport1 Plus it happened in a shower and Ordorff hit Vader in the side of the head from behind and Vader couldn't get his footing.

That sounds more like Haku.

9:04 why didn't vader just stand on him? thats a much easier way to kill someone

I think the object of the sport is to beat your opponent, not kill them!

Yes. Best worked shoot fights you'll ever see though. Havent seen a group come close to what UWF-i did in that department.

What about the original UWF? Akira Maeda, Sayama, and the others missing.
