In Canada, I tried to assist two obviously mexican men looking for a place to eat lunch. Like always, as soon as I started speaking spanish to them in a friendly and helpful way, they said nothing, got in their car quickly and drove away. This was in Canada.

Mr. Beck uses commons sense and simple logic in his research. It doesn't take rocket science to understand why we have laws restricting the number of people a public building can hold. You merely have to move that to a larger scale when considering immigration. We only have so many renewable and nonrenewable resources and that is just the tip of the iceberg of devastation over immigration and especially 'illegal' immigration has, is and will do to our country.

Our country has NEVER been self-reliant. We are an open economy, not a closed one, and as such we trade with the world. We focus on what we do well to increase our competitive advantage. We once produced cotton and sugar but it was too resource-intensive. Now we import those items, as we do with petroleum-based product. The issue of sustainable resources is not one that ends at our borders. The actions of all of Earths inhabitants must be considered.
