I absolutely love Yorkies too. I have one. I love this breed so much, I feel responsible to let people know to REALLY REALLY consider before getting one of these little babies. They are a LOT of work and take TONS of patience and potty training is tough. Before you commit, think long and hard if you will be able to provide the constant attention these dogs crave. The return on your investment far outweighs any kind of love you could ever imagine. They are fiercely loyal. I love them.

thanks for letting people know that. I have a yorkie, too and they are the most loyal little dogs. I love my baby, but there is a lot of work involved in taking care of him. Potty training was definately a task. So if you are thinking about getting one, please do your research.

actually potty training is quite easy, when you first get them let them sleep in a cage and when they wake up take them to go to the bathroom emiadtatly, then after a week or so they know that they are supposed to go outside, then after he/she knows what he/she can and can't do you can start letting them sleep out of their crate and with you or in they're own bed :) easy

My yorkie seems to be quite the exception to the rule. She was a breeze to potty train. That's largely due to the hard work her breeder had put in from the very beginning. She's been my joy for three years. I couldn't be happier.
