  • sry, i meant what modes were you playing in up until 1:51 ?

  • what mode are you playing in?? in other words, what are your favorite modes/ scales?? btw, you're a beast

  • Guitar playing level : Asian

  • @girininhonck haha, cheers. =)

  • @deadnightshinobi Hey man don't be offended sometimes people get offended BTW i was just joking

  • @girininhonck Hahah, I appreciate the joke. I don't think most people who post that meme mean to be offensive, it's not like you said "go back to Asia" or something...=P

  • Sweet!! I just dont know why nergal would play a 7 when they tune in D standard, maybe he just likes more bass tone or body. Cool guitar and playing!

  • @BOBSAGGETASS Well I think they have a few songs where the tuning is a bit different (e.g. the title track from Zos Kia Cultus). Maybe he's just looking forward to the future and more experimentation. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • I'm ordering one soon. Thanks for posting this. BTW, you're fucking awesome!

  • @SaskabillyPsychosis Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Hope you like the guitar =)

  • Swoja cię nie koch

  • gut gespielt

  • is it difficult to get to the high frets?

  • @TheHoser54 Not too bad. It doesn't have a cutaway but the V shape sort of compensates. You can probably get used to it.

  • =O

  • why would you have a 7 string and not drop tune the fucking thing?

  • @betsiemeyer1 Why does he have to? Maybe B standard is good enough for him.

  • @betsiemeyer1 Why do you need to drop tune at all?

  • @betsiemeyer1 because not everyone wants to be labelled as a lame metalcore/nu-metal pussy

  • @OnyxBeastGuitar haha cheers!

  • wtf how much was the guitar? haha

  • @XBlackwingknightX About a grand ($1000 USD) from Sam Ash online.

  • @deadnightshinobi lmao! fuck dude xD nice though

  • Awesome shredding, I really need to get a LTD HEX-7!!!!!!

  • @lambofgodrules1000 Well I bought it online from Sam Ash but I don't know if they ship to India...=/ Good luck though. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Fucking bad... I am laughing ! But fucking good guitar.

  • You've got the skills, bro

  • @Tjeerdoweirdo Thanks for watching and for the kind words man!

  • @deadnightshinobi you're welcome ;D

    Keep it metal \m/

  • Hi i got one big question. This hex7 is beautiful but the normal ltd hex7 has o big two headed eagle on the body - why your is just black ? im asking because i like that finish more :D

  • @koruptoPl Actually mine does have the eagle finish but it's hard to see with this webcam =P It's a little subtle in general.

  • @deadnightshinobi Ok, thx. Nice guitar ;D

  • Is this guitar big?

  • _Brilliant T shirt Marshak=)

  • Where did u get the guitar and how much did it cost???

  • @oolongteahouse123 Bought it online at Sam Ash...about a grand I think.

  • That's is a pretty sweet guitar. I've always liked the V shape and I'm a big fan of seven string guitars. Plus ESP has always appealed to me. One day when I get enough money together, I'll get a custom guitar made by them similar to this. Awesome playing man, well done.

  • awesome

  • o.O amazing guitar!

  • guitar playing is okay. now get some muscles and a beard

  • I have played on a 6-string V but never on a 7-string V...is it different, and is it evenly balanced?

Nice "review" , its great that you have gone through a lot of genres so we can really hear what the HEX is capable of :D \m/

  • HE HAS EVERY ADVANTAGE IN THE WORLD FOR BEING GOOD he's Asian

  • Wow talk about knowing your way around 7 strings! Amazing sweeps and soloing! Keep up the great work!

  • @slipvayneknot Thanks so much for the kind words!

  • buy a strat or lp

  • man, thats an awesome axe, wish i could get one :( ,but I´m fucking poor lol :) keep it up!

  • sexy guitar

  • beautiful

  • This is actually the only good review I have seen of this guitar. And definitely the only one that makes the guitar look nice.

  • @icallgreens Hmm what bad things were people saying about it? Well in any case thanks for watching and commenting haha.

  • Next step, ENGL HEAD YO

  • @Borges1091 Haha might be a bit too loud for my apartment. Plus I don't have a band any more so no real need...thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Ha I know what you mean. Keep rockin.

  • @deadnightshinobi Damn, but You should play in death metal band, or sth. Your previous band just did not let You show you skills (when you play stuff like G'n'R)! In my opinion best guitarists are those, who can play good and heavy music, but also can play very difficult stuff. I doubt Nergal can play Vivaldi's Summer (with all the respect to Adam) and Alexi Laiho can play it, and it means a lot! In my opinion your previous band was just a burden for You. Keep playing dude, ok?

  • @Tie4821 Funnily enough when I compose it doesn't even sound super-heavy (you can download my compositions from my last.fm page, it's in my channel info). I like listening to extreme stuff but playing it is another story. I need to work on my right hand technique more, oh well. Yesterday I saw Melechesh live though and it made me want to write some sick riffs \m/ Anyways thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Hey man i was wondering how long you have been playing and if you are self taught? i have a lot of questions for you so please send me a message.

  • you have a good technique, you're very good at playing the guitar

  • @gatitohitman Thanks very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it!

  • Awesome man!

  • Shirt = WANT

    Axe = WANT

  • i love SATAN

  • I have a Jackson RR5 and am tempted to get the hex 7. What I'm after is a mainly metal guitar that can also play a bit of other stuff from time to time. Is it worth me getting a hex 7? Would it be much better than my RR5? Also is the action on this really low?

  • @EmperorKabir Umm well the RR5 is a six string right? I wanted to start playing/composing more on 7 strings and I wanted a V shape so that's why I got the HEX-7, plus LTD has never really let me down before. The HEX-7 has pretty good action (but different people prefer different setups so I'm sure you can adjust if you want). I have a Jackson DK2M as well and I love that guitar so honestly I think the main factor is whether you want to try your hand at a 7-string or not. Good luck!

  • omg thats beautiful dude how much was it

  • @Xxgodsfuneralxx Just under a grand but I think I had a 10% discount...haha.

  • can you give me the name of this guitar, where do you bought it

  • @Mr3l337 LTD-HEX 7 (Nergal Signature) - got it at samash.com I think

  • Awesome ;D

  • Dear Santa....

  • @xXxM0rbidxXx

    its more like Dear Satan..

    ;)

  • @xXxM0rbidxXx i was thinking the same thing bro

  • hey man, how extreme can this guitars sound get?

  • @medude6652 Hey, I'd say it can sound pretty beast on its own, when I did this video I was nowhere near to maximum gain and I killed a lot of the bass because this guitar has a really deep sound. To be honest you can make probably any guitar sound beastly with the right amp/pickup/pedal combination...but yeah, this guitar is definitely more suited for metal than jazz =P

  • pure fucking sauce

  • Damn matt heafy..your a bad ass

  • Liked this very much, nice playing. Im saddened to hear about nergal being sick because i really like behemoth.

  • Nice improvising dude. But i gotta know, where did you buy that shirt? I really gotta have that one! x'D

  • @Cannibal660 Haha, my sister got it for me in the UK I think. Can't remember the exact name of the store though. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Well done sir. You make that signature guitar look good brother. thumbs up! Behemoth rocks. Best wishes Nergal, hope you can fight it and pull through.

  • @Jeudaos Thanks for watching and commenting...Also, I had no idea about Nergal, that's really terrible news...Thanks for bringing that to my attention too.

  • @deadnightshinobi yeah no problem. yeah it was very sad to hear. I've known about Behemoth for a while but I'd just started listening to them in the last 2-3 years. D:

  • awesome guitar & awesome shirt dude!

  • @Soilwar Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Dude, you rock.

  • @Lancedup Thanks for the kind words!

  • asians are good at everything

  • This vid is all kinds of cool! Cool guitar, Cool riffs, cool Kempachi Zaraki... rad!

  • I liked this video solely for your amazing shirt

  • also, is it hard to switch from a 6 string to a 7 string? right now im using a 6 string, and i have it tuned down to drop A. But it is kind of a pain to maintain, cause i gotta go get it intonated WAY too often. and one of my friends says to just switch over to a 7 string. But i really dont want to have to learn how to play the guitar all over again. So i was wondering if it is hard to switch from 6 strings to 7 strings.

  • @VonHendrixTV Ummm I'd say the biggest change in the seven string is learning new open chord shapes, or just any chords in general besides power chords =P It's relatively easy to get new scale and arpeggio patterns down. Also the fretboard won't feel as fast initially but eventually you'll get the hang of it. Just depends on how much you practice I guess? haha. If you choose to get one, good luck ^_^

  • @VonHendrixTV you should go to your local guitar shop and see if they have any and try one out. it's not a huge change. it sort of depends on the type of music your playing. if your playing mostly riff based songs and alot of rhythmic playing then it's a piece of cake but if you play more technically then its alittle harder because the neck is that much thicker and wider but even just chunking around on one in a shop i got fairly used to it.

  • nice shirt man, where the fuck did u get it?

  • @VonHendrixTV My sister got it for me in the UK.

  • hi, thats a sick guitar u got there! :D how easy is it to access the 24th fret?

  • @mudfan1010 Mmm....reasonably easy? haha. It doesn't have that little cutaway like the Alexi V but then again I haven't found myself reaching for that note too often. The body is basically the same as the standard ESP V (it fits in the same case) so if you can test drive one of those you'll have a good idea.

  • @deadnightshinobi Thanks for the info and nice shredding :)

  • idk what i want more, your shirt or your guitar

  • damn the godless phoenix is cool on the guitaaaaarrrrrrrrr

  • Sick shirt, man.

Also, sick guitar. Since Ive been big on Behemoth as of late, I figured I should invest in this for a 7 string after I buy a Agile (unless I can find one on ebay for the same price.)

Honestly, would you recommend this for Technical Death Metal? I know that ESP has never made a bad guitar in their entirity haha but still, is it worth the grand?

  • @Azria032 Hmmm well considering I don't/can't play technical death metal I wouldn't really be able to tell you haha. I mean, it handles and sounds well enough, so I'm sure you'd be shredding it up..but that's not to say that this is THE guitar for that genre. I've heard good things about the Agiles so...whatever you decide should be fine. =)

  • @deadnightshinobi Well, the more I play the more I realize that I'm more into the stuff like Quo Vadis and jazz like that, and I also heard good things about the Agiles but I also heard the occasional bad review. However, I havent heard of a bad ESP review out there, so It might be worth the couple hundred for a trusted brand. Iono, maybe I should look around for an ESP shop with it and test drive it.

  • @Azria032 Yeah for sure, if you can play some in a shop that goes a long way, especially if they have your amplifier in stock as well. I bought all mine online so kinda took a risk but so far it's all been good. haha. Quo Vadis is awesome, good stuff =)

  • Where are you from dude. First look - Japanese, but your English is totally awesome

and amazig that I think you can be also from US or UK. Totally awesome guitar.

And another thing that I'm Polish and I'm glad that you know Behemoth. I'm also their

fan. Do you know that Nergal ripped the Bible on the concert and he nearly went to prison. Try bands like Children Of Bodom (melodic death metal), Immortal, Enslaved, Emperor, Dimmu Borgir (Norwegian black metal) and try Vader they are also Polish

  • why always japanese guitarists!???

  • @DYINGSILENCEBASSIST what's the problem

  • @iskim86 well, the japanese guitarists are always very fast in solos...

  • That's one metal guitar. Is the neck anything like an Ibanez, that is to say, thin and flat? The upper fret access looks a little bit hard too...how is it really? I can't tell without playing it.

  • @piebeforedawn Well there's a bit of bulk to the neck but I don't know whether that's just the width of the seven string or not. Upper fret access...pretty much the same as my other guitars, maybe a little harder to play sweep patterns down there but it all comes down to practicing to become accustomed to it, at least in my opinion.

  • Would you rather have the viper 417? Or this guitar?

  • @BeanersCanLikIt I'm not a huge fan of the SG shape so I'd probably say this guitar...but I'm a fan of ESP/LTD in general so I don't think you'd be going wrong with either. =)

  • @deadnightshinobi On a scale of one to ten what do you give this guitar?

  • @BeanersCanLikIt At least an 8, possibly 9.

  • noo offense but you have a little too much gain.. but you are very talented!!

  • @ctjoao Hahah none taken. My microphone quality really isn't that great (it's just the mic on the webcam), so it's possible that the guitar just sounds fuzzy because of that...I usually don't put the gain past 6 on the amp. Thanks for the advice and for watching and commenting!

  • @deadnightshinobi 6! im never go past 3-4 but thats just my preference haha i play death metal too though. what amp were you running it through??

  • @ctjoao haha, wow 3-4 huh. Maybe I should try that. I have a Crate GTX120...what can I say, it was cheap haha.

  • @deadnightshinobi Congratulations for this sound test!! Really great!! I fancy this guitar a lot, but I have no idea what amp should I buy... Since yours has been discontinued and is nowhere to be found on the web, could you please recommend a similar sounding amp? Thanks in advance!! Keep up the good work!!

  • @metalheadstef8 Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Ummm I mean the most important thing with the amp is what sounds good to you...and of course your budget. I think the Marshall MG series sounds pretty good with a little overdrive pedal like a tube screamer driving it, but it's not the loudest amp. I think Line 6 has a 40 W hybrid tube/modeling amp that they did in collaboration with Bogner which my cousin has, he says it's great and loud. Good luck deciding!

  • @deadnightshinobi Great!! Thank you very much for the recommendations!! Greetings!!

  • wow great can u make a vid on the esp jh 600

  • @vicgarcia30 Sorry, I don't own that one and don't plan on buying it anytime soon...=P Thanks for watching though!

  • Very few people can actually utilize the gear they have. You my friend have that talent.

Congrats on owning the guitar it's a nice one. Nice to see someone with some talent demonstrating a nice instrument for a change.

Thanks for uploading the demo of the guitar!

  • @blackpieceofwhite Thanks for the kind comment and for watching!

  • Hey deadnightshinobi if you were 2 choose between this 7 string guitar and the 7 string BC RICH KK Warlock witch 1 would you buy? By the way great playing!!!!!!!!

  • @CrGun Hey thanks for the comment! Umm I just looked at the specs for the BC Rich, it looks pretty sweet...and prices are comparable so honestly I don't really know. I'm partial to ESP guitars but I don't think you'd go wrong with either....let me know how it works out!

  • @CrGun if you like to fuck around with a floating bridge and you are a caring guitar player who chage string every month go for bc rich but i like simple string change ill go with the ltd

  • guitar rules not you... ur lame as hell

  • This proves that Asians are the shit.

  • great sound

  • 0:50

    what you play here?

  • @xBloodYxCannibaLx Just a lick I picked up from my old guitar teacher, pedal point alternated picking into swept arpeggio sequences.

  • That's the Nergal signature right? That sounds amazing, i am getting one this weekend. It seems like it was worth the wait

  • you are a good guitar player ...hail from Rome

  • Awesome!!!!! Dude how much was that ESP ltd HEX-7 Guiitar cost?!?!?!?!

  • @kadrules666 Like 900-1000 USD, depending where you find it.

  • @deadnightshinobi Gam Damn!!!!! i can get that money in 6 months, lol so is it just the guitar by its self? or does it come with something else?

  • @kadrules666 Just the guitar...hahah. Sorta expensive but the quality is pretty good. ESP's LTD line hasn't let me down yet. =P

  • @deadnightshinobi I Love ESP's LTD Guitars. Because everybody where i live gots Jackson, Ibanes. So i wanted to get something No one gots, ESP LTD!!!! Oh Yeah!!!! lol

  • Ya nat those 5 string sweep tap slide licks = D . Love the guitar !!!! = O !!

  • hail dude , i just got my Hex-7 yasterday and i just can't stop playing first i thought that it's a good axe but when i tried it , i found like the guitar i've been searching for for an ages hheheh . anyway cool playing bro and take care ov that beauty ;)

  • Comment removed

  • play some metallica, megadeth, or trivium on that beast the tone is so heavy...

  • Good job, ur good plus i love the guitar :D

It may seems dumbs but, how do you tune a seven strings guitar? What's the standart? and what are the other commun way to tune it?

(sry for my english... im a french canadian so... lol)

  • Hello! The seventh string is a low B, so the tuning would be (from low to high) - B E A D G B E (take a regular guitar and then add a low B string). Common alternate tunings are drop A (A E A D G B E), whole step down (A D G C F A D), half step down (A# D# G# C# F# A# D#)....Cheers.

  • Congratulations for your new guitar (and for that great testing!) It seems like you're going to amaze us with some next video ( I definitely support your idea of some Loomis stuff...yeah).

Fiiiiive! (And you were sick? And Did you just said "terrible execution"? I don't think that was bad but I do think that was sick he he... \m/

  • Jackie Chan plays guitar

    Holy Shit!!

  • hahahhahaha :D

  • You can play it fine, but how does it feel to you?

As in, physically in your hands?

  • @TimJMorrison Feels pretty good!

  • you're welcome for the t-shirt :) and the hair lookin real good :P

  • This guitar kicks ass! How much does it cost?

  • @solosofsorrow Retails for about a grand, although day after Thanksgiving SamAsh had it for 10% off, so like 900? Thanks for watching.

  • Hey man, nice guitar! I see that it is brand new by how you handle it ;) Keep up the good stuff!

  • I love that guitar. :)

  • YO NaT finally got that seven-string ! Looks deadly! Btw what equipment are you playing all that through? And Maybe now you can play some john petrucci solos ^^

  • @itchyzitts Hey Joe!!!!!!! It's the same amp setup, Crate GTX 120 into a TS-9 (Tube screamer). No other effects. Although before I did this video I forgot that I had turned the bass controls to like zero because the guitar has a serious low end...Oh well. Maybe some Jeff Loomis stuff first before Petrucci...hahah.

  • @deadnightshinobi ya cause i love how it sounds, and ya i forgot jeff loomis played a 7string! I don't know if you have heard As i Am gutiar solo by petrucci but its epic.

  • I wish i become that good one day!

  • freakin sick!!!

  • Zaraki Kenpachi on the wall :)

  • Good eye!!! =D

  • @deadnightshinobi I would say Rock Lee for the other one :)

  • @darchitecht 2 for 2...hehe. Also...what the hell is up with this @user thing, I thought that was just twitter?

  • Well no it's not haha

  • Beautiful guitar, would love to see a cover of something on that beast.

    such a dreamy guitar.

  • I figure a Behemoth song would probably be the most obvious thing to cover...but we'll see haha. I'm still getting used to it. Thanks for watching.
